So as of tomorrow, the Kids Online Safety Act, is set for markup as of July 27 at 10:00 am. And for those who aren't aware, this bill, if passed, does not protect kids. If merely eradicates privacy, freedom of speech, and unlawfully searches and seizes everything you say and do on the web.

It will censor everything the government does not like and if you want "unrestricted access" you will need to prove you are above the age of 18, which will most likely mean you will need to upload some kind of ID. Additionally, if you need to upload your ID, there is no guaranteed protection that your image or the ID itself will not be swiped or sold like how Instagram/Facebook/Twitter did when they sold data to the Russians.

This will also be harmful to kids, especially those to have a bad living situation. KOSA does nothing but police the Internet for everything you say and do on the Internet. It will censor medical information, history, information, and restrict and limit, if not outright ban what can be posted on social media.

Sites like Ao3 (Archive of Our Own), Wattpad, Tiktok, Tumblr, etc.... EVERYTHING will be affected, art especially. And what's more, is KOSA passes, it will be a gateway to pass all the other bad internet bills like the RESTRICT ACT, EARN IT ACT, COOPER DAVIS, CSAM, etc.

The Internet will turn into a hellscape for everyone; kids, companies, and adults alike!

The picture above, from @dontdelete.art, is a call to action in protesting these bad internet bills. As of today, July 26, we need to protest against this bill for our privacy and our freedom. Call your representatives and senators, AND ALSO call the Commerce Committee as they are the ones overseeing this mark up meeting.

The Commerce Committe's numbers are:

Call them and tell them you oppose KOSA, tell them the dangers, tell them how it breaks our first and fourth ammendment rights and how it violates our privacy.

We only have one more day before it goes to mark up, so let's make it count. Spend today speaking out on KOSA, post on social media talking about the dangers of KOSA, call and email your representatives, senators, and the committee!

Idea: an emotionless/kuudere magical girl.

The main character asks if this magical girl is truly fighting for love and justice like the rest. She is dead silent for a few seconds before giving her answer. Yes, she says, she is fighting for justice just like any other magical girl.

But the concept of "love" is so nebulous and out there to her that she cannot possibly imagine herself proclaiming to fight for it. She has never really felt love, and she feels that couldn't dream of ever doing so. Go on and fight for love, she says. But she cannot fight for something that she cannot feel.

Now, she isn't bad at her job for this per se- in fact, she's quite good at it for someone who draws on the power of emotions she doesn't feel. But for our main character, who loves love more than anything in the world, the entire way she operates is completely and utterly baffling. Love is pretty much the basis of her entire ideology, and so to imagine someone who can't feel it is beyond her mental capacity already. To actually meet someone like that is even more mind-shattering, and trying to help her make sense of it is very much a losing game.

She finds herself unable to get along with this girl for reasons she doesn't feel ready to share with the rest of her team. (This, in itself, confuses her because she can usually get along with pretty much anyone.) Being on the same side as her but with diametrically opposed viewpoints makes her severely uncomfortable. These two will continue to be the driving forces of the series, made to work together but unable to truly reconcile with each other's beliefs.

...and wow, I just wrote half a pitch for a magical girl show. I got a bit carried away, didn't I?

now having a general idea of ii2 the movie I feel like it'd be cool if, if and when lightbulb dies and becomes a ghost, she just takes up residence in paintbrush's body after a while kinda like bow did for apple. paintbrush does still have some control of their body but lightbulb is a consistent presence in their headspace and will just randomly take over sometimes. this bfdi au came to me in a dream. don't know what to call it so for the moment I'll just call it placementswap.

Loser is still popular, but has grown tired of it and wants nothing more than to escape the spotlight. He's become a bit of a loner, being somewhat apathetic towards others and deathly afraid of the paparazzi. Even his team in this AU is mostly made up of late picks, except for Cake who he feels is the only person who actually sees him as a person and not just a celebrity. He prefers to take a backseat in challenges and gets frustrated when others expect him to lead. In BFB 6 he has a talk with Cake about his issues and how he feels uncomfortable with all the eyes constantly on him. Overall, just kinda wants to be left alone. (Fun fact I almost genderbent Loser in this AU lol)

Winner, on the other hand, longs to get their glory days back. They wanted to do the movie with Loser, but a family emergency came up and when they got back the label had dropped them for no good reason. After that the bottom really fell out of their relationship. They're really bitter and angry about the events of the past- it's kind of a Book-Taco situation, wherein Loser had perfectly valid reasons to not be present in their life, but having never come down from the initial shock of the circumstances of their separation, they're irrationally angry at him for 'abandoning' them. They adored the attention Clock was giving them, as it was the first time anybody had paid all that much attention to them in quite some time. As such they were devastated when he was eliminated. They remain bitter until TPOT 10, when their nightmare forces them to seriously reassess their past and their relationship with Loser. Even afterwards, though, they're still often in a bad mood, lamenting the unfairness of it all.
