âYou caught me,â Maverick deadpans. Bradley can see Penny elbow him out of the corner of his eye, but he doesnât bother looking up, too engrossed in the happy pants Theo is letting out as Bradley switches to scratching under his chin. âYou could say I did. Sort of.â

Yo I'm Hayakawa, I'm actually what we consider the host for us. Don't come out much, don't like it. Hence why I say we consider since I guess the majority consider host = most common out, but we use it for most important for stability

I've been slowly touching some media to get into things. oddly really enjoy cultivation animation shows. Surprised me, but I'm enjoying them

I wouldn't say it's annoying at all. Just don't really have any pride flags that I connect to myself as of yet. (like gender, attraction, everything is a fuck ._.;; )

Playing pokémon with spirit has gotten me thinkin about some stuff involved in it. It's real basic stuff but it's still stuff I'm thinking about anyway so I wanted to post about it
The games, always, talk about how pokémon can only know four moves, that others have to be forgotten to be able to learn new ones after that. it's a whole mechanic we're all used to at this point
Thinking about it though, I like to disagree
I think of it more like, pokémon know all moves up to their current level. All new moves above that level or it doesn't naturally learn needs to be taught.
The four moves isn't the only things they know but the only battle ready moves they have.
When in combat, especially as a trainer's pokémon, they can only have four moves they are prepped and expected to perform. Beyond that would be too hard on them to keep track and cause issues. In the wild they also prefer to stick with four moves they prep for battle because it's a sort of natural number limit. Some pokémon I could see being with less than four in the wild because they don't think they can handle preparing themselves with more than that in battle until a trainer helps them build up their skills
This combat limit was found over the years working with pokémon as trainers and pokémon got more used to being side by side and it became an ingrained rule as if that was the only possible way it can exist to help combat an old problem of trainers over burdening their pokémon with more than four moves in combat.
Or somethin like that at least

Getting into things further and further with my friend has gotten me a new date and it's someone I never expected.
Getting into Yu-Gi-Oh at my friend's push had put me up with some very specific expectations based on his responses to me and his attitudes.
Basically I was expecting I'd get set up with Kaiba and we'd be some rival buddies or something with how he spoke and his assumptions
it seems like we've gotten into more of a teacher student buddies relationship
Oh no, instead, I ended up getting along with Spirit and very quickly we got to Yugi lets me sometimes wear the puzzle to hang out with him to play pokémon together, happy he finally has a friend of his own.
Which, nope, never expected that one. Should have though, we're the same archetype. The experts in our fields who can break the laws of physics to handle any situation we get into, unless drama says we need to do more effort. We're both so similar it's so comforting? It's weird never knowing someone in that franchise was such a kinship to be had waiting in the shadows for me to meet up with
he picked the grass starter, which I sassily called Yugi before he could argue, and I got the fire starter since he took my first choice.

My Yu-Gi-Oh cards have arrived today and the emotions I feel holding the decks is beyond my understanding.
I feel like I've just grabbed hold of friends and family I never knew I had and feel beyond excited to be able to work along side them. The feeling is so hard to understand and it makes me feel a bit insane. A bunch of cards feeling so apart of me so suddenly is just so hard to imagine
The Korean logo for the game really is the coolest thing
The other day remembered I forgot an identity and need to update that. Glove, forgot Glove and his idol crush on Pearl. Silly me.
Can't do a lot with my cards until my friend comes by after his work. He's going to pick up some card protectors, because I forgot, so I don't get my decks confused.
So I'm going to be trying out Pokémon Scarlet in the mean time. He's letting me borrow it since I can't use my cards yet. We'll see how it goes
