The spirit's immediate response is a low, throaty chuckle at Qrow Branwen's misery. How odd, that the man who had once sought out magic for his handler was now so disappointed to learn that there was more of it out there in the world. 

So burdened by the things he knew. Jinn supposed she could understand the feeling.

"You and I both know what is required if you wish for answers." And she knows just as well as he that he will not ask, that he does not believe it is in his right to do so. Tsk, what a shame. She would be so curious to see his reaction to the truths of this world. Gesturing loosely, the golden chains at her wrists clink against one another as she waves his remark off: "It isn't a question of my being helpful. I'm as bound to my masters as you are."

@unlockthestars: Oh but their little sister was a curious being, if they did say so. Maybe she would have more answers for them.

"I'm told you hold all Knowledge," they practically purred, tail flicking behind them. "Is that true or were they pulling my tail again?" Apparently they hadn't heard about the 'three questions a century' rule. But since they were siblings, surely she would be able to tell them more than those humans had? [look I couldn't resist; xoxo A Cat Most Curious]

Oh? Well, this was certainly a first... 

Not a cat, not truly. Whatever this creature that had summoned her was, she couldn't entirely say: something about them was blocked from her vision, from that gift she had always been so burdened with. The Spirit's expression is strange for a moment — staring so closely, eyes narrowed as though trying, trying to peer deeper into this strange being and finding herself unable to pry anything further but a strange pain in the back of her mind.

That same pain she felt when she tried too hard to divine on the Gods, to seek out knowledge that lurked beyond her borders.

"...An exaggeration, perhaps. I certainly have no knowledge of you.

He's mocking her, but that's almost to be expected at this point. His thoughts were so often written upon his face, a heart worn on his sleeve — but that didn't mean he would outright explain what was causing him to be in such a state. 

She didn't need to ask, not truly... but she did want to hear it from him, instead of just her own innate knowing.

"Only recent events?" ( and recent was such a relative thing, wasn't it? ) "I should think you would have realized this from the start. Which was the one that finally pushed you over?"

No, of course not. Ozpin's little warrior was wiser than that -- smart enough to believe that she could play games with a Spirit who knew things she could never fathom to understand. Amusement plays on Jinn's face, a chuckle slipping past as she leaned closer down toward the woman, "I've already told Ozma all that he wishes to know... but is this really what you would waste your energy on asking?"

There were so many more things that a mother should want to know.
