I just finished S3 of Prime and while I enjoyed it, I found it a bit repetitive. To be honest, whenever Shadow wasn't on screen I was bored, but hyperfixation character go brrr. Shadow carried the whole thing on his BACK by finally being written well.

AAAHH, I missed the actual date ( May 13 ) but this year marks 10 WHOLE YEARS OF WRITING AND DEVELOPING MY SHADOW

Honestly, Shadow is very naïve in a lot of ways. He's extremely intelligent by design but when it comes to actual life experience, he's pretty clueless. His social skills are barely developed and he's very new to everything about life. His trauma obviously makes this twice as difficult for him, so he keeps to himself. That's why my favourite dynamic between Sonic and Shadow is them just connecting and being friends. Sonic has so much more experience and so much to teach Shadow about how beautiful the world is.

Just wanted to ramble about some 59 spoilers--

Okay, but the concept of Shadow tapping into unstable Chaos Energy was so tasty. We saw what happened when Sonic does this in Sonic X ( Dark Sonic ) now we get to see Shadow handle it. HE FUCKIN' EXPLODES. Which tracks for him. Shadow is a bit unstable anyway so add some fake Chaos Energy in there and you've got a very dangerous cocktail. He can certainly wield it, but it was too much.

He would never have used it unless he had to of course, Shadow is proud and the idea of using fake emeralds is repulsive to him, but it was all that was available. He's a master of REAL and PURE Chaos Energy so the unstable stuff is gonna be harder to control, Shadow is... VERY POWERFUL. He has a lot of latent Chaos Energy, so he wouldn't wanna do anything that put anyone else in danger. I'm sure that explosion would have been a WHOLE LOT worse if he didn't have his inhibitors on and he didn't do everything in his power to try and contain it.

And I've always thought that Shadow's very last resort is an explosion. Like, inhibitors off, planet destroying explosion. He just uses everything he's got until there's nothing left of him.

Sonic Dream Team looks fun, but c'mon where's Shadow? And why do they keep putting Rouge with Team Sonic??? Not that she doesn't get along with them, but stop forgetting Team Dark, Sega!!!! Shadow and Rouge are the besties ever, stop separating them.

I also just wanna say how much I love Shadow's VA for prime. It feels so dignified and right for him, especially with him having a much larger speaking role now.
