hello! i’m cricket. i have recently gotten into grey’s anatomy [i know, what took me so long?] & i am quite fond of the show. george in particular has altered my brain chemistry. that being said, i have discovered a shocking lack of fandom & and lack of my personal favorite pairing. i thought i would come back to my old stomping grounds in hopes of finding some folks! please keep in mind that i am only on season 6 & have somehow remained spoiler free. i would like to keep it that way! if you are interested in roleplaying against george [preferably as alex], click the readmore!

He hadn't told anyone he was back. Well Lexi found out by chance, but other than that no one knew. When he came off that plan six months ago only one thing was in George's mind, getting back. But that wasn't going to happen, the army said he did his duty, and they discharged him.

This hospital had been his family for as long as he could remember, so it was only natural that he cqme back to it when he got out of the army.

After taking a deep breath he opened the door to the attending lounge. "Its now or never." He thought to himself.

"Lexie!" George got the hissed words out just as he saw the Doctor pass the room that he had been. He excused himself away from the patient for a moment, letting his intern finish doing the post-op checks on her. It had been a rough year since his accident, but he was thankful to still be there. He was even more thankful when he finally caught up to Lexie, falling in step beside her. "Did I hear correctly? Mark has a kid?" As if that wasn't bad enough, "He's going to be a grandfather?" The Surgeon tried to stiffle the shocked laugh that slipped from his lips before he was able to straighten his face into a more serious expression. "Why didn't you tell me?"

It had been weeks. Weeks upon weeks actually and all George wanted to do was leave. He was tired of being seen as a patient, tired of everyone asking him how he was doing. True it had been hard for a while, he was touch and go even after he had woken up. Callie had finally given him the okay for his breaks and Bailey had cleared his general surgeries, but his neuro? That was the only one that had been a hang up. That's why he found himself knocking on the door of the attending's lounge, glancing down the hallway each direction as he did so. "Dr. Shepherd?"

The last month had been torture for George, surgery after surgery, healing and being in excruciating pain as his body worked on stitching itself back together. The physical therapy had started and he had nearly thrown several items at the window to break it, unable to deal with the looks and the pity. He had pushed almost everyone away, not wanting them to see him like that and not wanting to take everything out on them. His mother had already been hovering and he had begged several times for the nurses to say that he couldn't have visitors.

George knew that another session was coming up soon and was already not looking forward to it. His eyes were closed where his head rested on his pillow, fingers drumming lighting and slowly on the bed beside his hips. It was only when the door opened and he opened his eyes to see Callie walk in that he stopped. "You know you have Interns or even Residents to do this, Callie. You don't have to always be the one here if you're busy."

It had been too long since George had set foot in Seattle, let alone the hospital that he did his internship and residency at. George had went to Iraq to be a surgeon, wanted to help the men and women that were risking everything for them, were willing to get a leg amputation just to go back. How could he see that dedication and not want to do his part? It had been so much harder and terrifying than he could have ever imagined, but it was also so rewarding. True, there were nights that he couldn't sleep because of everything that he had seen, but he felt good for what he was doing.

To be back at the hospital though? He hadn't kept in touch with too many people, wanted to focus on what he was doing and not people trying to talk him into coming home. He had left six months ago, and while George felt so different, everything felt... the same. With a deep breath he finally stepped inside, eyes taking in the familiar walls and chairs, seeing doctors and nurses walking past the desk and up on the walkway. It felt surreal. Even more so when he saw the blonde waiting for the elevator, causing him to freeze for a moment. "Izzie."

Job Title: Attending of Trauma Surgery - Age: 37 - Relationship Status: Divorced - Callie Torres / Single 

Connection/Bio: It true that George cheated on Callie with Izzie, not that either of those relationships was going to go anywhere. With Callie coming out as bisexual and being able to find closure they have developed a very good friendship and rely on each other in need. They still care about each other. With George initially being held back a year, he was able to confide in Lexie. They became close friends. Owen was a great inspiration and mentor for George. He was then who convinced George to join the Army. Alas that didn't get far after George got in a near fatal accident. He spend his last year of residency revoking from his injuries and lucky came back to work with only a few battle scars. April was a great friend and cowering to work with in Trauma though he admits she can get emotional at times there was no stopping her when it comes to the ER. Over the years George has developed a friendship Jackson Avery and occasionally Derek Shepherd, whom he still looks up to. Amelia has become a good friend of his. He’s able to sympathies for her and let her talk. He knows a secret of her’s and appreciates that she can confide in him. He’s able to keep the secret that Amelia and Owen slept together- truthfully he doesn’t see why it has to be kept a secret, to his knowledge, knowing that Christina and Owen are done. It can be easily said that George doesn’t have any enemies and is likes by majority of the hospital.

Job Title: Resident - Age: 28 - Relationship Status: Single 

Connection/Bio: Mark and Lexie dated in the past and it was really good, until he put herself in a position of ‘parenthood’ twice. She doesn’t know why she continued to react the same. During the plane crash, Lexie was in critical condition and as she fell unconscious she heard Mark say she love her back. She doesn’t know if he knew she heard him say it back. He confessed a lot, but the traumatic experience made the memory not to reliable. They continued to be friend and co workers (maybe hooking up hear and there) but hasn’t established any relationship. Lexie was blessed to have Meredith in her life and is so happy that they can finally be sisters. Though Amelia and Magi weren’t technically her sisters at all she still felt like she had the support of them. George continued to be one of her best friend, after supporting him through his re-do resident year, they have continued to stay close. April was another one of her good friend, they were roommates. They confide a lot in each other and Lexie sympathizes with what she went through with Jackson.

Connection/Bio: Derek was a mentor Heather never really considered. He was a brilliant teacher and she actually felt like she belonged as a surgeon. She knew she as different and weird and often she accepted that, but she still felt that she was from another planted. But when working with Derek Shepherd she felt wanted and as if she belonged. She knew Leah didn’t like her, not that she hated her or whatever, but their friendship was build off of telling each other how annoying they were. George was a comforting person to be around. He was weird to, she could tell. He seemed to be one of the only people who really got her. He enjoyed working with him.

Job Title: Chief of Trauma - Age: 42 - Relationship Status: Divorced - Christina Yang / Single 

Connection/Bio: It was clear that Owen’s relationship with Christina had taken a tole on his confidence and expectation. He knew their relationship was toxic, but no one would understand the two of them unless you were them. After a lot of disagree them they both made the choice for a divorce. With some other ups and down they had managed to keep there relationship professional and work well together. So far it’s been a success. Once Amelia started working at Settle Grace Owen was automatically drawn to her, he kept his distance, because he was good friend with Derek. But one night out at Joe’s and a few drinks later they found themselves going back to his apartment. They kept this to themselves. Owen was unaware of her sobriety at that moment and feels guilty and to blame for breaking her streak. Changing topics back to work, Owen was very honoured to have April and George attendings of trauma. They were quick thinkers and fast on their feet, one thing he admired about the both of them was their ability to be compassionate even in high stake situations. Having Nathen Riggs working at the hospital, Owen has had a hard time trying to deal with the trauma that he went through with his family because of him. He has managed to continue his work but tries to avoid him best he can.

Job Title: Chief of Ortho - Age: 36 - Relationship Status: Divorced - Arizona Robbins / Single 

Connection/Bio: Their is apart of her that will always be in love with Arizona. They have over came so much. They share a beautiful daughter but slowly they grew apart. Callie was never able to forgive Arizona for cheating. She was able to accept what happen and move on. They’re is still tension between them as they struggle to balance being single mothers and sharing their daughters. Mark continues be one of her best friends. Its nice to get an a different option. As they share a daughter together they are managing balancing out their lives successfully. George was her first husband and he cheated to. That was probably why it hurt her so much when Arizona did it. Her and George have been able to get over they're past. Callie is good friends with Derek, Christina and Meredith. She feels she can relate to Christina and Meredith morbid humour and happen to find the twisted sister very entertaining. Callie had met the new residence prior to her working at the hospital. She found Penny very intriguing and beautiful, there was something about her that seemed mysterious. She hated how most of the attending and others consider her less educated because of her past job getting closed down.

Job Title: Attending of Neuro -  Age: 38 - Relationship Status: Single 

Connection: They're has always been and will always be a competition with them towards ‘who is the better surgeon’ between her and her brother, Derek, knowing they're are both brilliant they're egos cannot accept it. Amelia knew she was younger and has had addiction issues in the past. Her bother has never been able to look at her the same. No one can relate to a junkie unless you are a junkie. Amelia was able to see Meredith point of view and Derek. Knowing he can get lost in his careers to a high level then she could. Amelia stays with Meredith, she appreciate Meredith and Magi because they are like sister that are similar to her, unlike her older sister. Amelia has drawn an interest in Owen Hunt, despite his natural talent in the ER, which she already finds attractive, she knows the consequences of risk of this. She knew Owen was with her sister’s best friend Christina. She also knows they are broken up. It was a bad night for many reasons- Amelia had a drink breaking her sobriety, and slept with Owen Hunt. They have been able to act civil and keep it to themselves. She knew Owen was not over Christina and didn’t want that baggage, she didn’t want to get broken because she wasn’t sure if she could handle that. Having George and Isobel as roommates is not all so bad. George is great company and a good person to talk to because he listened. Though Izzie can get annoying. He is the only person who knows about Amelia and Owen. Amelia loves working with Stephanie and feels as though she is a friend to her then just a student of hers.
