TASK 2 / WORLDBUILDING || Golden Palms Motel 

Established in 1973 and located in Miami’s Midtown neighbourhood, the motel was one of those seedy places men with beer guts went to bang other men’s wives whilst offering them promises they couldn’t afford to keep. Weeds grew through the cracks in the concrete path and litter from cheap take-out meals were strewn across the parking lot. An external rusting metal staircase leads up to a second floor, another row of doors, that looked like the building inspector was either drugged or bribed to pass it. At least two screaming matches are going on in the rooms at one time, only to be dulled by the noise of cheap cable seeping through paper-thin walls. It’s a hot spot of deals to be made with the devil and niave visitors seeking a place to rest their head.
