                    Holden had taken it upon himself to make way to the hospital, despite his own phobia of such place. He had sent a myriad of text messages to Yael over the course of a couple days, the assumption that she was swamped with the victims of such tragedy waning at the thought that she could very well be one of said victims, heart near lurching in his chest at such impression. All the same, despite the perpetual inquietude that clawed at near every fibre of his being, Holden stayed externally calm, making way to the hospital with two coffees in hand. It was only at the front desk did such reveal make his heart sink, and while he wasn’t family, the mess of the front desk hadn’t even noticed him slipping by to go find her. She was a cherished employee of the hospital and an innocent inquiry here or there led to his own discovery of Yael, knocking near timidly on the door before entering. For whether she was asleep or not, he had to see his friend; least to calm his nerves. “Yael—? It’s me.”

         “Yael?” He could call out as he half jogged up the steps towards the woman’s apartment. It had been far too long since he had seen the nurse, and with the sickness he was sure things had been no less than equal to that of hell for her. Or hell, she could have ended up just like everyone else, suffering from the same sickness that hurt them and that surely worried him ten fold. “--You home?” Finally he made it to the apartment front, his fist tapping loudly on the door.
