silas has never been particularly ambitious. it’s funny because he kind of just goes through life being handled all of these titles. it’s not something that he ever really strives for. when he was in the circle, all he ever really wanted was just to pass his harrowing and live the rest of his days in relative peace, nestled away in the tower. that being said, he doesn’t half-ass anything. he’s very dedicated to the wardens (especially after losing morrigan) and devotes himself completely to the role of warden-commander. though the moment the opportunity presents itself for him to be reunited with morrigan and their son — he’s willing to leave it all behind almost without question. it turns out that his biggest aspiration, in the end, is to live a relatively happy life with his family. something that he never thought possible, since being taken to kinloch hold at age four. which is why he’s so driven to find a cure for the calling by the time inquisition roles around.
