alright, to kick us all off, she’s a newcomer to the island and has only been around for the past couple of months so she’s still meeting people and adjusting herself to island culture

goo hyemi, born december 18, 1997, making her 25 years old - an original seoul native, pure city girl at heart that honestly doesn’t know very much about anything else due to her upbringing

her parents are big shots in the field of medicine and she was raised to be the same, but clearly she found another plan ʅ(́◡◝)ʃ

in case her bio makes it hard to understand (i’m sorry ㅠㅠ), she was never supposed to have been born or even conceived for that matter and her parents had danced with the idea of abortion before deciding it wouldn’t be ethical and they’d rather give birth to her

but...because of this, they feel like they have this innate ownership of her? she’s gotta do everything they say and act how they wish and this has caused her to have a lot of bottled up issues leading to multiple mental breakdowns throughout her years 

she finally had enough though and after her last breakdown and brief hospitalization, she said fuck everything i’m leaving this family and this city

cue hyemi hopping on the literally the first mode of transport she found to take her far away and landing herself on the island with a small luggage and some cash

she’s now found herself a job at the sunrise diner as a waitress, though she’s not the best at getting orders correct but she’s got this gummy smile that seems to make things okay 

she’s also found herself a one bedroom apartment at the birch tree apartment complex but who knows how long she can keep paying rent for it ( •_•)

as for her personality, she’s pretty quiet and reserved when you meet her, she really prefers being a fly on the wall and getting to understand her surroundings before she dives in but she’s sweet and loyal, she’s dependable - she can just get a little too stubborn for her own good sometimes

now for connection ideas!!

you always come into the diner and order the same thing and it’s been about a month straight of hyemi taking your order and for some reason, some part of it is always wrong. what the heck?

she’s your new neighbour and everything should be fine except sometimes you swear you hear crying through the walls and you’re pretty sure it’s coming from hyemi’s direction

she tells people she moved to gwasuwon just to escape city life because it’s boring, but you don’t buy the story because how is a small island going to be more exciting than a big city like seoul? you’re on a mission to dig into her past now and she isn’t having it

somehow she thought she could escape her past but she crosses paths with an old “friend” from seoul and everything she was escaping suddenly doesn’t seem so far away anymore 

she got lost the first couple of weeks she was on the island and you helped her find her way out of the goodness of your heart but you’re now her designated gps (yes, that’s literally your contact name on her phone)

she bought something at yoyo’s except whatever she bought technically should have never been there? aka you lost something, someone found it and decided to donate it to yoyos, hyemi was shopping and liked it so she bought it (ariana grande vc??) but now you see her with it and there’s confusion because you think hyemi stole it
