💋 a kiss against the cheek after discovering the other is napping

After securing their win over the bear, they needed a way to transport it. Perhaps a wagon might be the most ideal, but not the most efficient of their time. They had parsed a couple of ideas over, but eventually concluded to cutting up the meat and different parts and slugging it on one horse and sharing the other.

           Lilina is secured on the horse and sat behind Raymond, arms secured around his torso while he led their horses. Though the ride wasn't long, her eyelids began to grow heavy. Perhaps it was also the additional body heat his presence brings her that she finds herself becoming sleepier.

           ...

           Their trip back had been quiet, neither talking much if at all, processing it all. There is a certain awareness that hits him when all is still, if that were even possible. He opens his mouth to check up on her when a soft thump lands against his back. Recalling her open gash from earlier, slight panic settles in and alerts his senses first ( had she bled out? ) until he hears a soft snoring coming from behind. A sigh is released along with his worries. So she was that tired, he couldn't blame her. After their bout with the bear and nighttime's chill beginning to settle in, exhaustion tempts him too, but he'd rather push through it and get back to the monastery. Somewhere safe where they both can rest.

           When on familiar grounds, he visits the infirmary first, carrying the still sleeping Lilina to the floor. She needn't put any more stress on her leg either. She is laid on one of the vacant beds and one of the medics is alerted and rushes to gather supplies for patching her up. He crosses his arms and a small smile tugs at the corner of his lips. A moment of consideration before a soft featherlike kiss is placed to her cheek.

           "Good work, hunter," he says, voice barely above a whisper.

           Raven had half a mind to stay until she at least awoke ( she did promise him the bear meat ) but leaves for now to let the medic complete their work in peace.
