I'm finally posting a pic of my oc, I drew them weeks ago but I was too lazy to wrote out their life story oops (speed paint on my yt)

Rhea onyx

Summary:

Rhea is a nonebinary person who is dating lux (another one of my oc's) growing up they didn't have the best childhood, their parents are rich immagrates from the middle east who currently work under lux's parents company, all their life they were forced into being perfect for their parents, forced to study 24/7 with no social life rhea turend to art, astrology and geology to entertain themselves, they are an artist with a major astrology and gemstone obsession ( hence why they changed their name to rhea onyx, rhea being one of Saturn's moon even tho the name originally from mythology and onyx being a gemstone ) they went through lots of hardships with their parents which in the end resulted in self discovery and ending up as lux's partner but thats a longer story for another time, even though they went trough alot they now they bearly contact their parents and live with lux and 6 cats probabaly even more cats in the future

Growing up:

Rheas parents were super strict, everything about their life had to be perfect, rhea didn't have many friends other than the neighbours kid jessie. Rhea always had to be studying, wearing what their mom commanded, acting like how their mom wished and being the definition of perfect by force and un surprisingly rhea managed to graduate with flying colors until it came time for collage thats when rhea refused to go to any collage other than art school in the end rhea ended up not going to collage at all but ended up being a commission artist

Discovering their nonbinary identity:

!! Each nonebinary person has a diffrent story, nonebinary can be an umbrella term, this is just what rhea went through it doesn't mean ever nonebinary person relates !!

Even as a kid rhea always knew they didn't identify with their birth gender but they didn't identify with the complete opposite gender either so they were always left in a state of confusion in the middle not being one or another, not fitting in with the boys or the girls but being the middle, they would always wish they could be just one, to rhea it was better knowing if you were a boy or a girl then being both and neither and just something completely different, through the help of the Internet rhea ended up discovering their true identity and finding the terms that best fit them

Meeting lux:

At first rhea meet lux at a charity ball where out of panic they accidently left their sketchbook which lux later found, they started out as friends but they both knew there was more there so they started dating, when their parents found out it was by someone outting them, their parents weren't happy especially because lux is trans aswell, but in the end rhea ended up cutting their parents out of their life anyways so they now happily live with lux and their cats

How i created rhea:

Rhea is very special to me because they were my source of experimenting and finding myself, at first I wanted rhea to be completely based off me but the more I started creating the charcter and the plot lines for them the more rhea ended up becoming their own person and the more I learnt about myself and for that reason rhea will always be extreamly close to me, you guys probabaly dont know but I wrote a novel about their story which is now deleted to the public and just kept to myself, writing the novel took months, it was around this time last year I prignay started and their story still isn't complete, writing that novel was where I put my ventting in, everything rhea went through started by me going through something similar and finding ways out of problems for rhea helped me find answers in my problems, rhea was made by my intreasts and deepest thoughts which bloomed to their own person, now when writing rhea it feels less like im making a charcter but more like im discovering something new one, it doesn't feel like writing it feels making a new friend and talking to them, getting so close that they have completely become a part of you

On The Road To Happiness & Contentment w/ Ms. Rhea Asuncion

Every television show that we watch has another side of the story to tell. Behind the tv shows are researchers who break their backs for us. They work 24/7, making sure that the show's flow is organized, planned, and entertaining for the viewers. Ms. Rhea Asuncion - one of the researchers from the GMA network, is a graduate of Saint Louis University with a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Communication.

She graduated last 2019, and in the same year, she became a part of the GMA network, starting with the TV show "The Unang Hirit."

The Journey to Comm

Before stepping into the media life, she was undecided about what she will be pursuing in college. At first, she thought of taking pre-law or Political Science but followed her parent's advice to take pharmacy, and she did, took an exam in SLU but unfortunately, she didn't pass because there was a quota.

Remembering that she had a background in radio broadcasting in high school and was active in conferences in elementary, she decided to take Mass Communication and instantly fell in love with it.

Ms. Rhea had a memorable college life where she was active in every contest of the Mass Communication Society, but what she considered the most notable was joining DokyuBata, wherein their documentary won.

Facing The Hardest Decision in Life

Before facing the media industry, she first made one of the most complex decisions she made in her life: being away from her parents and going to the real world at the age of 19. It wasn't easy, and she realized she still had a lot to learn. She even wondered if she should continue pursuing the field, but eventually, she dared to pursue it and got used to that kind of setup.

The Media Life

When her first project with KMJS (Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho) appeared on Television, she would burst into tears because of happiness and seeing that all their hard work had paid off.

When it comes to being a journalist, she can't say that she's already a pro in what she's doing because she hasn't been in the media industry for that long. But, she admires that a journalist has excellent interpersonal skills; no matter how hard the work is, they still manage to make a way to reach out to those people who are hard to talk to.

As a researcher, she makes sure never to forget the word "respect." because, in her opinion, respect is always a must no matter how high a person's position is.

Related to that, when considering a topic for the show, they would always think about its impact on the people and their case studies who they feature. No matter how good the subject is, they would make sure that everyone is comfortable showing it or not. It is more on the impact.

Sometimes, she finds it hard to find motivation and excitement in her line of work, but she always chooses to look at the impact and how they could help others even in the smallest act possible. That motivates her to continue.

The Legacy of Ms. Rhea Asuncion

Ms. Rhea Asuncion is not just a researcher but also a friend, especially in her case studies. She makes sure to stand by her goal, which is to reach her own definition of success: to be stable in life and happy with everything she does and the decisions she makes. Other than that, she doesn't just want to be a researcher alone in the future, but she aims to produce a segment of her own. She goes by that mantra, " if you can dream it, you can do it."

A Message From Her To Us

Her advice to students or people who are struggling in this pandemic is that we are not alone. Everyone is affected by the pandemic, and they, too, are struggling. They just have to choose what works best for their struggles. When times get rough, they have to choose the people they can rely on and be their support system.

Putting this under the cut because of it’s length but I’ll also be talking about human experimentation. Just encapsulating my thoughts on what happens during the war in regards to Edelgard, Linhardt, and his Crest research. This doesn’t include post-war knowledge.

there is no doubt in my mind that Linhardt would have not at one point or another thought about actual experimentation via blood transfusion. due to his phobia of blood he would have used a medium to do the transfusions and taken notes about the effects. since he wasn’t allowed to explore Garreg Mach while the knights were there, he took it at his own liberty to scrounge through Rhea, Seteth, and Hanneman’s personal files. although, he definitely did find little to nothing when looking through Seteth’s personal documents. it’s through Rhea and Hanneman’s documents he discovers that Jeralt had a blood transfusion. in combination with Jeralt’s journal entries, Linhardt makes a deduction that either one of two things has happened: 1. Jeralt gained the crest of flames from Rhea, and thus Byleth gained the crest of flames via this transfusion 2. Jeralt was also a holder of two crests, similar to Lysithea and Edelgard and the crest of flames was the only one to be passed onto Byleth This only influenced his interest in genetics. At some point during the war, he approached Edelgard to ask her about this form of experimentation, although he wouldn’t have very much done it by himself but through other means, but considered this time to be a perfect opportunity given all the injuries and casualties of the war. of course, this was met by much disdain by Edelgard, and the two had a disagreement about ethics and how this would by passing around crests and how it would be noticeable among the common foot soldier if suddenly one of them gained the power of a crest.  this was a big issue for Linhardt, disclosure and fairness. how do you accurately create a placebo effect with something as erratic as crest inheritance? not only that, but what if they have another version of a remire calamity, especially in the middle of a war? how do you deem someone worthy of gaining a transfusion of crested blood? of course he couldn’t do it to himself, he was too squeamish and messing with his own blood was too much work. Linhardt, instead of blood transfusions (at this point he was just too dissatisfied with the massive amount of work and ethical boundaries blood transfusions pushed) approached Edelgard about a several year long genealogy project he could work on post-war, stating it would be hard to track fathers, mothers, and children dying over the course of the war and tracking which crests are in and which crests are taken out. Edelgard agreed to this form of experimentation, as it mostly was general note taking and tracking of generations, but much to the dismay of Linhardt, is mostly something he wouldn't be able to complete in his lifetime. But he considered to a smaller subset of experiments where he studies crest dominance and patterns (i.e. examining couples and the crests present in offspring, and if having two crests gets rid of the possibility of bearing non-crest wielding offspring). when not avoiding battles or partaking in them, Linhardt would take his time to go through the genealogical records kept in both the empire, alliance, and holy kingdom until he can map out most of the inherited crests from students at the officer’s academy, previous graduates, and others associated with the monastery.
