the thing about the USA is you will go online and meet 50,000 other americans and not one of them could tell you how their government works.
#'well school never TAUGHT US about our government' 1. yes it did. you didn't go to a high school that didn't have us politics as a class#us schools literally have a patriotic hard-on geared towards teaching the youth about the system they live under#2. i don't caaarreee you are a citizen in this country it's literally your civic duty to learn about this#both so you can understand your roll in society and so you can see what the political failings of your own country are#like you are all way too happy to call yourself anti-capitalist#considering a solid 85% of you have no clue how capitalism actually intersects with politics#because you're all so busy calling econ majors demons that you've convinced yourself being anti-econ#(aka remaining ignorant of all economic theory) is somehow meaningful praxis#in the fight towards equality#ANYWAYS. all this to say. i saw a biden post that annoyed me.
