That's honestly kind of hard to answer, I flip between the two of them pretty often. I actually think the way Noé is written is way more personally satisfying, but obviously Vanitas gets a lot more intense and impactful Characterization Moments
#logxx#Like obviously the story is written and presented the way it is for a very obvious and intentional reason#But the bluntness of it sometimes (especially recently) gets pretty fucking annoying#Even tho I get that it's The Point esp for Vanitas (character)#vs. Noé whose writing is comparatively subtle to the point of being nearly incomprehensible if you haven't already read#(hard) and understood (almost unheard of) Pandora Hearts and specifically Gil as a character/narrator#BUT Noé does not have as many Evocative Moments as Vanitas and what ones he does#Tend to be structured around Louis/Vanitas (deliberately and for obvious reasons)#Which makes it harder to feel strongly about Noé unless you are aware of his Trick
