First off, 1000% not Reg's dorm, under any circumstances. no one is welcoming gryffindors into the slytherin common room, especially Lily (muggleborn) or James (public enemy no. 1). Reg would also probably not be advertising the relationship to his housemates and even sneaking through invisible is not worth the risk - the risk being real bodily harm

Regulily definitely go to Lily's dorm (and why wouldn't you want to, its bright and in a tower, and you know Mary has an eye for decor). i don't see why James wouldnt go there too. the boys can fly in up the stairs or more likely through the window so fewer people see. it's more private than James' dorm and Sirius doesn't live there (< huge benefit) - I think Mary and Marlene are more likely to be accommodating/keep it hushed. Also James' dorm is full of marauders projects which 1) are for marauders eyes only, and 2) clutter up the space so there's less room for people
