#(like does anyone even want a fic loosly based on the first jurrasic park movie that has almost all of the hq characters? or is it just me?

I'm starting to feel burned out on writing this matsuhana childhood friends fic, as is reasonable, since I wrote 40k words in the past two weeks.

So it's break time!

I have a stack of books on my desk that I've been meaning to read (haven't read many published books lately), and I think I'll take a week or so to get through them (or maybe try to get through some of my watch list), then jump back into drafting during the last week of this month.

I am hoping to finish the first draft of this fic by my birthday (which is Jan 7th), and then I think I can do the second draft before the end of January.

All that to say, my goal for posting the first chapter of this fic is February 1st, after which I'll either post a chapter a day, or a chapter every other day, depending on various factors.

There's a (relatively high) chance that I'm asking too much of myself in setting that posting goal, since this fic will almost certainly go over 100k words (with some chapters likely to run as long as 10k words), and since I'm probably going to get burned out again by the time the first draft is done (and probably also after the second draft is done, as far as getting burned out).

But we'll see.

Like they say, it's only impossible until it's not, so might as well try.
