yes, absolutely ! but ONLY to trusted individuals who have the confidence to handle him and additionally know he is a super dog. this pooch is super, and above that he is a trained protection dog. so they should know what to expect. he has been trained to discern scenarios and if he sees fit, he will bite once certain boundaries are stepped over by belligerent strangers. but he is not a vicious dog, just a protector. if a friend knows the dog's behavior, he is safe in anyone's hands to go on a walk. oh, and of course clark will give the fair warnings of walking krypto... if he seems like he is going to chase something by god let go of that darn leash. he will drag you like santa's sleigh. but, by all means he is a well trained walker as long as you don't throw a frisbee for him to catch...

can they give him treats ?

of course ! krypto is a dog at heart. he loves treats. he is a big fan of peanut butter flavor or pumpkin biscuits, or freeze dried meat treats. he will sit straight up vertically on his rear hoping for a treat. if he smells anything he likes in your pocket he will do ANYTHING to please. coming from an excellent working dog line krypto has a high food drive and will do whatever it takes for a treat.

wild card headcanons & facts !

krypto is actually more intelligent than your average dog. he seems to understand human sentences to a degree and commands that have a higher sentence structure than your average one worded command dogs are trained for. he is able to understand if you want him to do specific kinds from lasers from his eyes. on top of understanding complex commands, krypto also seems to understand how to adapt to scenarios and work out who is the bad guy by his own problem solving skills. or the fact that krypto knows to keep a secret identity as well. without the cape he is simply a white dog. with the cape he is krypto the super dog.

krypto is one of the pets that founded, yes founded, the league of superpets. true to form of his superman companion he fights crime with an honorable group consisting of many other superhero pets ! team mates include: titus ( batman's and damien's great dane ), bat cow ( batman's cow) , flexi the plastic bird and more...

krypto can howl so loud the entire world could hear if it puts that much power into it.

this pooch is massive. similar to clark being very large due to krypton’s evolution being ahead of humans + the different in geography and gravity of krypton he is a big boy. hes about the size of grey wolf. but next to clark he seems like the size of an large dog.

he is about 50 years old give or take. older than clark actually.

like most dogs he enjoys a good pet, laying in your lap despite his large size, and snoozing in YOUR bed.

you wont believe it but just like superman's fortress of solitude, krypto has a dog house of solitude. which is a dog on an asteroid in space. thats it. he just goes there to chill and thats about it.

the alien canine wasn't always this intuitive and well trained. at one point krypto needed a whole new rigorous bootcamp of training. back on krypton he was well trained in his job to be a meaningful and stable protection dog. but on earth krypto was liable for all sorts of damage with powers he didnt know how or when to use. on top of that, at one point krypto did become quite aggressive becoming quite hair trigger bitey dog with his new life on earth. for a while the dog lived in the fortress of solitude before clark trained his dog a new set of skills.

after fending off the powerful villain atlas allowing superman to get back on his feet krypto was dubbed the dog of tomorrow !

i love how chill lucy is during the scene where max describes getting an erection and ejaculating in the most juvenile terms possible. like she is clearly a little ? about it but she picks up on what he's trying to say and casually reassures him it's totally normal, actually. she doesn't shame him or make fun of him for not knowing what she knows, just fills him in on the facts. and then when he says he would rather not have sex because he's not supposed to, she doesn't push or test his boundaries about that. she just smiles and gives him her classic "okey dokey." it means so much to me...

it's incredibly interesting to me that in a way or another, kyle's story circles around loss, grief and the burden of power. not once has it ever been said that being a ring bearer for him was a positive thing and by now, it's all about sunk cost fallacy: he has lost too much and given away too many pieces of himself to give it up. it's not a power, not a right, but something he has to bear. he has never been the one to pay the price directly, but in the end, he's lost every tether to his life before the ring.

it's not something that has been addressed just this once, though. ion (2006) was very clear on the matter:

his first love, the lovers that came after that, his mother, his life as a whole on earth? the ring has taken everything and now it's too late for him to quit, else why did everyone else have to pay for it?

so I said a long time ago that I wouldn't revisit the unsundered world and all that because I hit a narrative brick wall with paris' ancient, but that all changed when I made andromache a co-wol, and thus decided that she would be the original azem

enter apollo and dionysus, two sisters who would eventually become andromache and paris in the current timeline and with their own goody bags of lore under the cut:

apollo–

older sister of dionysus, who would become the new azem when her mentor venat retired

she and her sister were orphaned at a young age, and it was during venat's travels that she discovered the little foundlings. against the better judgment of her peers, venat elected to take the children back with her to amaurot to be raised as her proteges

apollo was exceedingly bright as a child, both emotionally and intellectually. she was a prodigy in creation magicks and an excellent fighter

got to knew hades and hyth at an academy for young amaurotines to hone their magicks, but she didn't consider them close friends of hers

once she grew older, she came to meet hyacinthos, hector's unsundered self. apollo fell hard and fast for him, but hyacinthos took a while to realize she had feelings for him

apollo wasn't a stranger to anyone, but she had a one-sided rivalry with hyacinthos' childhood friend thamyris. thamyris also had romantic feelings for hyacinthos, but they were never reciprocated

her relationship with her sister dionysus began to strain once they both became of age. while apollo still cared for her, she never understood why dionysus grew to have such disdain for her

while they were both prime candidates, venat ultimately chose apollo as her successor

azem tended to follow the rules, but she would march to the beat of her own drum, which landed her in hot water most of the time with the older members of the convocation

she and hyacinthos wished to spend the rest of their lives together, but it came to a bloody end when hyacinthos was murdered in a jealous rage by thamyris, who by then became the next halmarut

distraught and overcome with grief, apollo desparately wanted to bring hyacinthos back. but the underworld was a dangerous place for any living being, on top of the laws of amaurot forbidding anyone from bringing back the dead, whether they chose to die or not. hades, the new emet-selch, refused to help her as it would disrupt the natural order of the world

just before the final days tore apart their home, apollo defected from the convocation and went rogue. she ventured into the underworld herself to bring back her beloved, only to be overwhelmed by the current and become unraveled into the aether

before she died, apollo recorded her memories into her soul crystal so that whoever would find it would find a way to save them both. her soul crystal, the original azem crystal, was then lost in the aetherial sea after the world was sundered. it would eventually find its way into the hands of her many reincarnations, including andromache's ancestor, the zodiac brave known as penthesilea

apollo's soul crystal would only resonate with her reincarnation, otherwise it became a family heirloom of the tatlonghari's for the next few centuries until andromache became its owner

now imbued with the memories of her ancient self, andromache gained an obsessive desire to reunite with hector, thus fulfilling apollo's wish to never part from him again

dionysus–

younger sister of apollo, was passed over in favor of apollo to earn the seat of azem

while just as talented as apollo, dionysus could never outdo her sister. for that she was always considered second best

she would try to perform better than apollo in many things, but it was never good enough to dionysus. this would make her relationship with her mentor strained

dionysus was apollo's shadow, and she wasn't keen on making friends as a child

dionysus was the opposite of her sister in terms of personality: where apollo was cordial and lively, dionysus was broody and standoffish

when venat chose apollo to be the new azem, dionysus begged her mentor to reconsider. from then on, dionysus considered apollo her most bitter rival

despite her hatred, apollo looked after dionysus since they were young, and dionysus relied on her older sister. but once she became romantically involved with hyacinthos, dionysus grew jealous of the man for taking away her sister

rejected and dejected, dionysus joined the words of lahabrea to become a keyward of pandemonium. she never took a subtle approach to fighting like her sister, and her level of ferocity made her a prime candidate for being a keyward

during that time, dionysus fell out of contact with her sister and was unaware of her plans to rescue her beloved from the underworld

when the final days came down, dionysus was thrust into her sister's shoes to be the new temporary azem. apollo never returned from her descent into the underworld, and the convocation branded her a traitor

emet-selch, secretly mourning the loss of apollo and guilty over not helping her, created an artificial azem crystal for dionysus to use. it recorded her ascension ceremony, and dionysus imbued her own magicks into the crystal (aka her summoning spell), but it wasn't used for very long. dionysus created her own spell in the vain hope of bringing her sister back, but apollo was dissolved by then

now becoming something she always wanted to be, but ultimately wasn't ready for, dionysus struggled to take on the responsibilities her sister once had. on the opposing side of her mentor, dionysus couldn't perform her duties and ran away from the horrors of the final days

after the world got sundered, dionysus would reincarnate into paris and would become andromache's first child. the two of them repeated the same mistakes as they did when they were whole. paris didn't realize it then, but they inherited dionysus' resentment and inferiority complex when it comes to their mother andromache

i do think the show implies that, while vault-tec was prepared to drop the bomb themselves, they didn't necessarily get the chance to before someone else pulled the trigger. mainly because janey is with coop in that opening scene, at which point everything has already begun (which we know because the radio host implies the president has already gone into hiding).

now barb is def a neutral evil type of character, but she definitely loved her daughter, and i don't see her being okay with dropping the bomb while janey was so far away from whatever vault barb has reserved for herself and her kid. so that's why i'm under the impression it wasn't actually vault-tec who initiated the end of the world, though they were 100% fine with doing so if necessary.

combat head canons !

he's fast, and has always emphasized speed and strategy over strength. he's light on his feet and quick-witted. in 'powered/supernatural' verses, he is very adept at mid-range battle, and can do long-range... but even though his abilities could be utilized at long-distance, you're unlikely to ever find him doing long-range combat, though: he EXCELS in short-range combat, up close and personal to his opponents, utilizing his fast reaction time and agility to try to get the edge on his opponent. he taunts them, tries to make them angry and frustrated so they begin to expose more vulnerabilities that he can exploit in battle. and he's not above delivering a surprise attack when they're looking away: he thinks it's all part of the game. if his opponent can't keep up with him, can't stay sharp and defend against his assault, or keep their cool, he has an upper hand... he was always an active and fearless kid who preferred sports and adrenaline for his hobbies, and it shows: physical feats and martial arts are muscle memory for him. he prefers his weapons razor sharp and light. knives, daggers, throwing knives, thin blades / light swords ... and in his supernatural verse, he may fashion a makeshift weapon of these sorts out of ICE. for example, he often throws razor sharp chips of ICE at the opponent.
