thinking long and hard about serizawa telling reigen that he’s in love with him unplanned with no expectation of his feelings being requited bc something makes him realize that reigen needs to know that he’s loved. like, seri makes the decision to say it fully prepared to ruin the partnership they built bc he can’t bear thinking about reigen not being certain that he’s treasured and wanted.

#i think seri would know that reigen would never fire him for that and he’d say that nothing had to change but it just. would #the easy intimacy that they slowly built together would end and be covered up by pretending that nothing happened at all #but it would be worth it to him bc he could love reigen from farther away if it meant that reigen KNEW he was valued #even by someone he could never want #(only in seri’s head of course. reigen reciprocates the fuck out of those feelings.)#serirei
