The blog has been tampered with. The only clue to the new symbol is a hint of pink bolting out the door.

Blog? Symbol? What? Mark barely has time to process the pink blur fleeing the scene before he looks up and sees a faint image of what can only be a shoe hovering over his head.

Part of a shoe. Not even a full shoe. Laces? What exactly is that supposed to mean?

“… Wilford?” he calls out the door. There is a faint note of confusion and uncertainty in his voice, but it would appear the pink has already bolted.

There isn’t anything he can do about it, so he might as well return to his writing. His focus only lasts a few minutes before he glances upwards again, sees the image still hovering above him, and tries to swipe it out of the air with his hand.

Swipe. Swipe. Nothing. But a closer look reveals minuscule words hovering at the back of the image: The President’s Shoelaces Badge. A faint smile finally crosses his face. Does this make him president?
