#you ask margin babbles#a series of unfortunate events#i read asoue for the first time when i was in fourth/fifth grade and. i think it was what awoke my latent love of tragedies#and klaus was ALWAYS my favorite. because we were and are still very similar in terms of. all the things#but here's. here's the thing.#there was another kid reading it at the same time. and at the time this kid and i were like. rivals. you know#(we've since moved past that and have become quite amicable. it helped that we went to different middle schools)#and HE checked out our school library's copy of The Penultimate Peril RIGHT when i was about to read it#days turned to weeks turned to months turned to years and. I STILL HAVEN'T READ THE LAST TWO BOOKS#so i'm going back to my grandpa's house in two weeks for Fourth of July and my siblings and i are going to finish the tv show#so i have TWO WEEKS to reread the entire series AND ACTUALLY FINISH IT THIS TIME#i have it all planned out. i have plenty of time i just need to read fast and put the entire series on hold from the library at once#(thankfully there's a branch of the library literally a two minute's walk from my house. that solves a LOT of problems)#and i read fast and the first few books especially aren't very long. actually none of them are very long. besides the point#it will be done and i WILL be insane about the books for the next two weeks. anyway that's all
