This is my advice and experience on how I deal with lack of motivation during the process of making art, and How I turn it around and bring out more productive energy the moment I feel like putting things off.
You gotta remember what you are passionate about. Why do you love what you do.. and if you don't, then your in the wrong business.

Graffiti inside a Las Vegas Casino
So last week I went down to go meet up with the creative director for the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum over at the Venetian. This museum is where they have all the wax scultures of celebrities. So there is a section for the Marvel comics superheroes sculptures in which they also have a 4D theatre. It seems like they are still under construction on some areas, so they asked if I can paint a graffiti mural on a wall where they are putting a spiderman sculture.
So here's a quick rendering made for them. The idea is to make a scene of an urban city back alley for the spiderman. Now that is a cool graff related project! It's all going to be done in spraycans :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What amazes me the most is the fact that the museum and Marvel are asking for a graffiti mural to be done. Wow isn't that just ideal for any graff writer to be called and get hired to paint a cool theme for high-end clients. This is not my first time doing projects like this, last time Puma hired me to graffiti up an automotive shop for a private corporate event that they were hosting down here in Las Vegas.
Believe me, it is possible to make money from graffiti and spray-can skills. That is what I have been doing for a long time now and I think is time for me to share what I have learned through out these years with others.
I want to not only teach graffiti as an art form and share my techniques but I also want to share with you that you can also make some cash from painting walls without vandalizing or doing illegal painting. I just want to flip the idea of something that has been categorized as negative into something positive and beneficial in a way that art impacts us.
I made this page where I explain better the idea and I hope it takes off because illegal graffiti is a big national problem and society needs a positive solutions like these to be spread. I call this solution, Ethical Graffiti!

I finally had the chance to play with the Jot Touch on the iPad.. It is awesome yet it doesn't come close to the cintiq's natural feel. Regardless it is a great alternative for on the go sketching and conceptualizing ideas. I used the Procreate app for this one which is the closest to how photoshop works on desktop. I have to admit that this stylus is Amazing!!! #adonit #jot #jottouch #procreate #ipad #ipadmini

Let's just start!!
Tumblr media
Welcome to My Blog!
It’s been a long time coming, but finally I’m going now live in action!
First of all, I am not a writer honestly and I would rather be painting really but I did want to create a blog where I can discuss my work and current projects. So with without further ado, let’s jump right into it!
Ok, so as with most creative portfolios and agencies on the web, it’s always your own site that gets done last, due to the fact that you are busy on putting all the creativeness into your paid work, so the company site always gets plunged out for last.
Well, in my case things work differently.  I will turn the tables around and start off with a fresh explosion of creative first impressions!
This charming new polished blog will host my latest new ventures, which will include the following:
Updates on my current art projects
Graphic illustrations
Graffiti Art paintings
Airbrushing
Tips and advice for upcoming artists
Self-Motivation
How to sell your work
How to present yourself to clients
How to promote it
7 years ago, I graduated from high school and went straight into work. I had no experience or training in art, but relied on raw talent, so I jumped straight into automotive airbrushing and graffiti murals.
In these 7 years I learned how to master the airbrush art, in 3 years I managed to put my signature in more than 200 vehicles that were airbrushed throughout the city of Miami. I’ve put myself out there in the magazines (Rides, Truckin, and others), I mastered the graffiti art and was featured in Miami Graffiti the book, I participated in the Primary Flight’s Graffiti Hall of Fame for Art Basel in 2010. On November I did live airbrushing at the SEMA 2011 show for the Iwata company (leaders in airbrush tools) along with some of the top best airbrush artists from around the world that came here to the Las Vegas Convention Center …and this December I’m flew back to Miami to participate on a 6 on 6 state battle (Miami vs. LA) …it has been a very crazy and unpredictable journey for me as a freelance artist.
Oh! By the way I almost forgot to introduce myself; my name is Rey but everyone calls me ‘Enok, this is my middle name and my street artist name in which I use to identify myself. I was born in El Salvador, raised in Miami and now live in Las Vegas. I consider myself a good friend and a very enthusiastic team player in professional settings. I’m a philosopher, an artist in many areas, a great listener, a protector of my loved ones, a motivational speaker to my family and friends, and role model to many, a leader in airbrushing arts, and a student of life.
It’s funny how I have all this talent thanks to God, but never really decided to take it further into my true potential. I decided to attempt creating my first and only website from scratch last year. It was such a tough challenge for me that it took me about 4 months to do a simple 4 page site. Despite the headaches and complications in the html/css coding, I managed to enjoy the whole process. I loved it so much that because of this experience, I decided to take this school to polish me further in this avenue. I signed up for Web Design & Development program that Full Sail University offers.
I’m really here because I want to expand and share my experiences and to have a more complete portfolio of what I normally work with. I also want to network with the right people, which I’m a strong believer in this quote; “It doesn’t matter what you do or how good you do it, what matter is who you know and your connections.”
With all this said, I’m looking forward into meeting you (whoever you are reading this) and I hope that we can network together to reach our goals. There is always something new to bring to the table and I’m sure every individual has something to teach and so I’m willing to so the same and share some knowledge.

Airbrush an Awesome T-shirt Design Step by Step
Tumblr media
In this tutorial I will show you my process on how I usually airbrush a mascot on a black t-shirt.
Things you will need:
Iwata revolution airbrush and compressor
Wicked colors from Createx or Aquaflow
Black t-shirt
Laptop
Digital Project
White charcoal pencil
 Step 1
Have a sketch ready. In this step by step, I will be using an evil squirrel that I sketched out for this demonstration. Feel free to use this image for projection.
Tumblr media
 Step 2
I use a projector to scale and position the sketch on the t-shirt.
Using a white charcoal pencil, I proceed to sketch the lines.
Tumblr media
 Step 3
Since my t-shirt is black, I must use white as a base for my colors to have foundation, otherwise the black cotton will consume the colors and they will appear very dark and dull.
Using white as the base, I proceed to define the lights and shadows of the body of this squirrel.
Tumblr media
..and this is what it looks like:
Tumblr media
Step 4
I then start to apply color but first I prepare 3 colors for the body:
Light yellowish-brown
Mid orange-brown
Dark brown
These 3 colors will be used for the main body.
I will start by laying down the Light yellowish-brown first:
Tumblr media
 Step 5
Now I add the following colors from lightest to darkest using mid orange-browns and the dark-browns.
I also add the other remaining colors: eyes, background, teeth, etc...
Tumblr media
 Step 6
Next I use black paint to define the outlines and darken up some more of the shadows.
Tumblr media
Step 7
Using white paint, I proceed add a base for the reflected primary and secondary lights to the entire character. In this case, the reflected light is coming from the right side (the character's left)
Tumblr media
 Step 8
Having a white base for the reflected light makes the color blend easily.
Here I airbrushed a transparent lime green and yellow on every reflected light to the right side of the character.
Tumblr media
Final Image
You may use a transparent sealer and heat press the t-shirt for maximum lifetime.

jQuery, Mobile Development, and the Future
Tumblr media
My thoughts on jQuery and Mobile development
Well before anything; I did some research to find out that since the proliferation of touchscreens devices in the past few years, there was an urgent need to build touch-friendly websites that can be displayed by an increasing amount of mobile devices. And that’s where the jQuery team came up with jQuery Mobile which is mobile UI framework for the jQuery library that’s allows touch-friendly features.
