i wrote a post but then realized my tag rant didnt make sense with the original post so ive removed the original text and replaced it with this. it was about the possibility of me using neopronouns
#i like neos in theory but ive yet to find any i vibe with#cant be bothered to invent my own either so#also every time i think ive found some that i like#it turns out the most common way that theyre used is like. not my favorite#also every time ive been in a group where one person uses neos#NO one uses them right#like the person will have the pronouns written out like#for example#'fae/faer/faers/faerself' in an easily accessible carrd or bio#(those specific pronouns are used similarly to she/her/hers/herself if im not mistaken)#but everyone would say shit like 'faer told me' or 'faes favorite song'#which would be like saying#'him told me' or 'shes favorite song'#and personally i think i would be way too pissed off by that to deal with using neos#also i already have to deal with the fact people CONSTANTLY use they/them for me even wehn they know my pronouns#(im not referring to tumblr strangers - if you default to they/them for me bc you havent checked my blog thats totally fine and i dont mind)#outside of people genuinely not knowing what to call me?#they/them feels like being misgendered#and i think if i say 'oh btw i also use neos'#people will double down on using they/them for me despite literally telling them my pronouns when i introduced myself :/
