one kinda controversial take i have about media criticism is i don't think 'it was rushed' is as damning or even important a critique as most people do. i'd rather have a really interesting idea done quickly than a really boring idea dragged out for a long time, not to mention how often it gets applied to media where the powers that be had it shortened for stupid reasons

#personal crap #it probably doesn't help that i often see it levvied against stuff like su spop and toh #and kinda go 'well it resonated with me so i don't mind that it didn't get dragged out too long'#the worst offender to me though is when people say it about evangelion #because with that it's not even got any truth to it they're basically salty that it ended cerebrally #and not with a big robot battle #(which is also part of why they get mad about su and spop too but still)
