joori was a big fan of the girl group fin.k.l , first being introduced to the group as child by her mother. when she heard the group's former member kim bada's label , seventh heaven , was holding auditions in busan in 2013 she was ecstatic , seeing it as her golden ticket to success and an opportunity to work with someone she grew up idolizing— only for her heart to be crushed after she completely bombed the audition , having no prior training or skill. despite initially wanting to give up , she practiced as hard as she could with her budget and limited resources , and after two years of numerous failed attempts at other companies , she was accepted into seventh heaven as a trainee in 2015.
