when : the evening of the wedding .
while the red glow cast upon the keep seemed to give the festivities an otherworldly appearance, it was nothing compared to the glimpses one could catch of the comet outside. the evening so far had been spent indulging in wine and easy conversation, feeling less out of place in dornish fashions alongside familiar company and hints of lys that filled the room. still, though, the evening air is a welcome reprieve from the warmth of pressing bodies, and as much as she enjoyed listening in on the whispers of passing servants, even gwyn found them too repetitive this early into the evening. staring towards the comet in the sky, the young manwoody raised fine glass of dornish red to her lips and offered her next words to nearby company. ❝ do you think the comet and the evening’s theme are coincidence ? they say a red comet is a sign of things to come. good ones, i shall hope, for the prince and princess. ❞

when : early arrival to new valyria .
though there’s a book in her hand, gwyn has no intention of opening it as she maneuvered through the neatly maintained stacks of books. it was a library the size that one could hardly begin to fathom, and she had to wonder if it was just as big as that of king’s landing, if not bigger. the youngest manwoody didn’t dwell on it for long, catching sight of a familiar figure she was keen to see, she greeted him with a keen smile. ❝ there you are. it’s been so long since i saw you last, i was beginning to worry i might forget that handsome face of yours entirely. ❞ truth be told, she was far more keen to seek out the pieces of her pseudo family that brought her comfort and peace, long before she considered those she shared blood with. ❝ have you actually found a book to capture your attention, or are you simply hoping to pretend and hide behind it a little longer ? i’m more than happy to join in the latter. ❞

the stark lady stirred a familiar warmth inside gwyn, intrigued by northern charm and sharp wit, but she held no concern for the wolf’s bite. in fact, she remembered a distinct fondness that came from holding zehra’s body close, the softness of her lips and the hours of conversation that followed. perhaps it’s why she wastes no time in seeking the other out, smile settling easily on her lips as same appreciating gaze sweeps over zehra’s figure. ❝ blue truly is your color, isn’t it ? i’m surprised i’m not having to fight every lady of court for your attention, this evening. ❞ their loss, of course, for she knew the other to be enjoyable company, and she relished in the ability of having someone so easy to talk to at her side, next words an easy tease. ❝ i don’t think i know many that can pull of such fine gowns as easily as they do their training attire. ❞

setting : the castamere targaryen quarters, staerdale .
gwyneth had spent her entire life carrying herself with the air of someone unbothered, an easiness that came from time spent looking after herself when others wouldn’t. perhaps it’s why she doesn’t think twice about maneuvering about the castamere chambers, plucking at the fabrics of the curtains or the sheets feeling more busying than engaging with the rest of court, in this moment. ❝ how do you feel about staerdale ? ❞ she mused, glancing over her shoulder in the direction she’d seen her future good sister last. company that was familiar in the way gael’s was, comfortable in the way that only finally having a sister in her life could be. especially one so close in age. ❝ i’m decisively against the cold, i think, and if we never venture this north again. i find there’s a distinct lack of furs in my wardrobe and i’ve been spending way too much time by the fire. ❞
