#i love how sulu looks at him... like 'mr. spock duty calls'#time 2 solve the captains emotional problems#star trek#the man trap#anyway................ i love that they started out with such a Bones episode#also we got#-uhura speaking swahili#-yeoman rand and sulu friendship#-demonstration of sulu as a botanist And helmsman#-pretty significant speaking parts for uhura/sulu/rand which the show as it went on didnt have as much of#-maintence workers being scared of uhura#-uhura trying to flirt with spock and then roasting his ass#-spock being illustrated as in (albeit temporary) command of the ship as the first shot of someone in the chair (i think ?)#-bones relationship backstory#-fucking TRUTH SERUM???? which i think is never mentioned again#-spock descended from oceans as humans did (even though its later revealed that vulcan is a desert planet)#-spock bleeds (green)#-spock wrestling with mccoy to protect jim and getting thrown into a book case after getting beaten up by nancy/the salt creature#-a brief but poignant message about conservation and extinction#-captain eating on the bridge#-black undershirt mccoy#what an episode!!!!!!!!#trek
