I've never noticed the light so much before. In all of my favorite memories with him so far, there’s something about the the light that I love in each moment. The reds and blues from the interior of my Jeep creating this duotone, almost-daring bliss as he drove us home that Sunday night, the he asked me to be his. The bright white morning light shining through the window in rays softened by the curtain, silhouetting him, backlighting our first time together. The surreal glow from the TV hugging the curves of his shoulders as I laid on his back after a massage. The dim moonlight highlighting just the outline of his chest, chin and lips as I looked up through his arms. And literally ALL the times any ambient light casts subtle shadows across his butt as he moves about the room. I just love the light, and I've never noticed it so much before.

GUESS WHAT TODAY IS!

It’s Sunday where I live and I was looking through my blog to determine if I should make a new masterlist now or wait and I came across this post that I utterly forgot about! It’s a post about doing ships on Sundays.

So my pos BiL started in with the Muslim ban and etc, and pointedly saying stuff at my expense, I called him on it, he called me a crazy liberal full of bs (and other stuff) and pointed out it takes less time for one of "them" (someone from a Muslim area) to get a green card or citizenship from the US than it does the Philippines, which apparently takes a year and a half and asked if that was fair and I said no its not and he loses it (bc he wasn't listening and only heard what he wanted to hear. As usual) And starts yelling at me and meanwhile my husband (who has been taking his brothers side and ganging up on me) was just standing there letting him yell at me. And at some point I started yelling back (I don't like to raise my voice in anger) and I was like I SAID I AGREE WITH YOU, WHY ARE YOU GETTING PISSED THAT I AGREED WITH YOU THAT IS WASN'T FAIR And he just got all quiet and I basically said fuck this and fuck you and grabbed my wallet and keys and left. And my husband just called from the door as I was getting in my car "be careful darlin!" Not in a actually worried to but in a sarcastic way. And going back through my tag for tea rants I realize how much bs I've been going through and I'm so tired of it

Things are better. It’s been about a month, which is enough time to start thinking rationally again. Still not ready to Tumblr (Tumble?) without feeling some leftover sadness/bitterness/anger…but I’m in no rush. No rush at all.

Some good things. I’m only taking four classes this semester. No labs besides my research lab. Still stressful, but I have a little more time to breathe.

I’m graduating in May and officially wrapping up four very important years of my life. No job yet but I’m aiming for biotech companies within a 30-40 min drive from my house. I have an interview this week and I’m so nervous. Even if I don’t get a job in the industry I want, I can still spend the summer working part time at a boba place or something, which I’ve always wanted to do lol.

A Tarot card reader told me that 2017 was gonna be a good year for me. I don’t believe in fortunes but it’s still nice to hear.

And Byun Baekhyun. Lately I’ve been thinking more about it and…I don’t know how to say it. He and I are just so different. No matter how much the world has hurt him in the past, he is unfazed. I want to ask him about these things, personally. How do you still trust people to treat you with kindness? How do you open up so freely and let cruelty roll off your shoulders? How do you still feel invincible after a series of failures? I’m fascinated by him as a person. I don’t understand it. I want to but maybe never will.

Sorry. Deep breaths. I’m going to be okay.
