First, recycle glass bottles/plastic bags at terrific Target [marvelous Montwood & Heinz Duerkop Memorial Cycleway (aka George Dieter)], then to Dr. Gonzalez for a needed filling. 02OCT2020: Though not cycling first thing this morning, there is good reason for my using an eBikeKit-assisted CruzBike; I’ve “aged out” over the past few years, with my legs in particular showing the sarcopenia/OA/inevitable disintegration/winnowing/degrading of hams/quads/knees/muscles. I’ve biketoured for well over 40 years, half that on uprights, the current half on ‘bents (18 years on my beloved Doublevision and now my assisted CruzBike). My life goal of biketouring the World has altered; instead of physically pedaling, I now rent bikes at numerous locations that I visit while traveling. It’s ironic that not so long ago, I was vehemently opposed to eBikes, but brother Carl had suggested it as a possible bridge between cycling or not cycling. Then, I paid a bit more to great Grasshopper Adventures for use of a Trek eBike on a weeklong biketour during the third week of February 2019. It was amazing! My cycling capabilities were instantly restored, and I knew my next bicycle was going to be an eBike. After researching, I bought a very light/very strong all-extruded aluminum CruzBike. (Roberto was instrumental in helping me to construct it out if the bix, but it took me another 2-weeks to re-learn how to pedal, despite my vast experience) Then, I added a heavy duty 48V20A eBikeKit.com, including a direct drive 26 * 1.5 eWheel, which Jason helped me with.
