Doing henna for a bride is special no matter what but when the bride is a fellow henna artist, it makes it all that more special ♥️ @mudrahenna . . Nivi requested elephants and lotuses in her bridal henna. She wasn’t too particular about much but just wanted her a traditional look! I was nervous because I generally stay away from doing elephants & peacocks (I’ll be sitting in @bharathi_sanghani_mehndi’s s class during @henna_pro to learn that. Amirite, @hennaforallny?) Nivi also requested that her fiancé’s name, Anuj, be written in Tamil (as that’s her native language) and that her name, Niveda, be written in Gujarati (as that’s his native language) How sweet is that!? That one has to be one of my all-time favourite customizations! 🥰 . . I also had asked Nivi if she wanted symmetry in her bridal henna and she said “I don’t but deep down I know I do” Haha! I knew exactly what she meant. I told her we could keep the overall layout similar but we’ll change up the elements/fills to add a slight twist to it. I hope I did that request justice ;) . . Nivi made the whole process SO easy. She gave space for us to work and sat so still (so kindly apologizing every time she moved even a little even though it wasn’t an issue). A British Photographer Takes Honest Wedding Photos, and You Might Regret You Didn’t Invite Him to Your Celebration
Ian Weldon says that he is not a wedding photographer, but a person who takes photos of ceremonies without any untruths. You won’t see brides and grooms posing, the fake smiles of relatives, or guests who are all doing the same poses in his photos. Weldon prefers other types of photos: awkward dancing, the preparatory bustle, kids making funny faces, and the newlyweds trying to finally eat something. They all look natural, funny, and a little bit crazy. Today Ian is invited by people from around the world in order to capture one of the happiest days of their life.

VANCOUVER, B.C. — Every library has some unusual finds – and now, some of the ones from a Canadian library are getting a worldwide audience.
An anonymous employee of the Vancouver Public Library is posting Instagram photos of some of the unusual titles in their collection.
Vancouver’s CTV says some are non-fiction, like “Try Not to Suck,” a biography of Chicago Cubs’ manager Joe Maddon. There are also how-to guides, like “How to Have the Latest Pant Styles,” “Raising Snails for Food” and “Successful Muskrat Farming.”
Then, there are just oddities like “Public Toilet Design”, “How to Convince Your Parents You Can Care for a Pet Tarantula”, and “The Otter of Death”.

Two weeks after Boston moved into the second phase of reopening, Woods Hill Pier 4 - the farm-to-table spot in Seaport - opened up its patio for its inaugural summer season. They’re accepting reservations for parties of up to six people from 11:30am-11pm, Tuesday through Saturday.
We would call it one of our favorite patios in the city, though that would be a lie since we haven’t been there yet. But based on the photos we’ve seen, it looks like a great spot to sip on one (or four) of their excellent cocktails.

As far as we know, there’s no other place that pairs unobstructed views of the harbor with a large patch of intentionally placed and perfectly manicured grass so well. The whole place looks like a modern architect’s fantasyland, which may be the best setting for Woods Hill’s lobster popovers with crème fraîche anyway.

Alcove at Lovejoy Wharf is a place we forget about sometimes. Not because it’s bad, but because it’s tucked away in a warehouse building right next to the Zakim Bridge, in the shadow of the Garden. Now that their patio is open again, however, we’re thinking about their house focaccia, great cocktail list, and when we should make a reservation. They’re open from 5pm onwards during the week, and 12pm onwards on the weekends. As an added bonus, you can head nextdoor to Night Shift Brewing afterward so you can tell your friends you spent a whole day staring at the Charles River docks.

The patio at Loyal Nine is a repurposed driveway filled with custom benches and market lights - which, believe it or not, is an ideal spot for the seafood-centric menu here. Some currently available items include salt-and-pepper calamari and whole-fried redfish. And since the patio is open from 9am onwards Tues-Sun, it means it’s also an ideal spot for coffee and breakfast sandwiches in the morning, and brunch on Sundays. The Bowery Bar has a back patio that’s fully hidden from street view - and it’s complete with colorful stools, umbrellas, and an impressive amount of greenery (seriously, look at those trees). For 90 minutes of your day - since that’s the maximum time allowed for each seating - you can feel like you’re somewhere other than Boston. There’s no bocce court at Branch Line this summer, but their covered patio is still one of the most impressive we’ve been to. It’s got a nice industrial aesthetic, and (more importantly) plenty of seating to have the stellar rotisserie chicken and rosemary fries. A glass of rosé doesn’t hurt either. ReelHouse has the best views of any restaurant in the city. It’s the kind that you would normally pay a high price to ride an elevator for, except here your dollars go toward heavy-handed drinks and mediocre food. “Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you.” #drsuess When we were first starting out, figuring out our style, I was instantly drawn to the “fine art” style. The photography that was soft, romantic and very posed (think perfume ad) and for the most part, lacked color. I kept trying to imitate that look, but it never felt right or true to who I was and what I wanted to create. So I decided to go off the deep end (ha!) and created my own interpretation of “fine art” which instead showed immense joy, happiness, and color and based our entire brand and look off of that. Low and behold, we started book clients that said “We were instantly drawn to your photos because of how joyful people are and your use of color!” 😍 So the moral of the story is two part: You can be inspired by people, but the best product you will ever create will come from within and secondly, it may take some time and no you won’t attract every couple, but you WILL attract the ones that are perfect for you. 🥰😘❤️ . . . Mount Bonnell: One of the most beautiful places in Austin also the place where the boy asked me to be his wife 💍. Only 3 months until we say ‘I do’ in a field in Lithuania surrounded by friends and family. 🌿 It’s also one of the reasons why I have neglected sunnydei.com and this account. My focus had shifted to establishing our new life in a new country. A British Photographer Takes Honest Wedding Photos, and You Might Regret You Didn’t Invite Him to Your Celebration
Ian Weldon says that he is not a wedding photographer, but a person who takes photos of ceremonies without any untruths. You won’t see brides and grooms posing, the fake smiles of relatives, or guests who are all doing the same poses in his photos. Weldon prefers other types of photos: awkward dancing, the preparatory bustle, kids making funny faces, and the newlyweds trying to finally eat something. They all look natural, funny, and a little bit crazy. Today Ian is invited by people from around the world in order to capture one of the happiest days of their life.
