The Great Ties
In round 1, as we all know, Darby and Jack tied exactly at 85 votes apiece. It was decided they would both move on to round 2 in order to duke it out once more. Then they both lost. Darby lost to The Butcher by 20 votes and Jack lost to Trish Adora by 35 votes. This marks the end of both of their journeys with Darby getting a total of 193 votes and Jack finishing one slot above him at 216 total votes.
No one brought it up, but there was a tie in round 2 as well. Both Kota Ibushi and Mr. Brodie Lee earned a total of 79 votes. Working from the great tradition of precedent, they'll both be moving on to round 3.
And the near-tie that broke everyone's heart, Anthony Bowens VS Hangman Adam Page. The closest contest thus far that was separated by a single vote in Bowens' favor. Our cowboy will ride into the sunset and Anthony will live to scissor another day

ok updated prediction: she'll do six 10-minute medleys/mashups for each album which will take up an hour of time altogether and then the rest will be from folklore, evermore, lover, and midnights. in a 2.5 hour set list, that means she'll have 1.5 hours, if we imagine each solo song is ~6 minutes long then there's 15 slots for songs from those 4 albums. if she covers 3 songs in each medley then there's a potential for her to cover at minimum 33 songs (even if some are very brief)

my long overview/review of ‘Star Wars: Journey to Batuu’ after forcing myself to play it almost nonstop
so i said i was going to amend what i said in response to this ask after playing to min/max shit so here is a tldr version of my opinion after playing:
I consider this pack to be a 2/10; It's enough to kill time as a temporary distraction, but not for long. There’s absolutely no replay value after going through all those missions as each outcome is ultimately the same by faction. There also doesn’t seem to be any negative outcomes for each prompt in the little “choose your adventure” pop ups--And if there is, it is extremely low since I have never gotten a negative outcome. 
The aspirations are fair, and are the only things I found in this pack that’s anyway redeemable since I believe the rewards can be used well in conjunction with general solo/super-sim gameplay.
kinda sat on this for a while bc i wasn’t sure if i should post something so lengthy but then i remembered this is my blog n i can post my left toe if i wanted to
even tho i would never post a pic of my left toe anyway
.......at least for free. With the right price, however....
anyway more details under the cut if you’re interested bc i like to ramble :))
I decided to split this into 5 sections to organize my thoughts a little better. I’ll be separating my thoughts on each faction, the ships as a rabbit hole, the faction missions, the star wars aspirations, and then the breakdown of my 2/10 rating. 
1. Factions
When you travel to Batuu, the game gives you a starting “mission” or quest to get you acclimated to the areas, and each area has a specific Faction associated with it.
And yes, you cannot live anywhere, nor are there any lots, as was already stated.
Every area has a similar makeup which has:
Control Panels
Supply Crates
1 non-rabbit hole area
1 interactable ship
The Black Spire Outpost is the biggest area and has:
Two places to grab food, three if you count the Cantina
Aside from the Cantina, the other areas are rabbit holes
The two eateries are:
Docking Bay 7
this one has the most food options
you’ll never go hungry in batuu because the cheapest items on the menu are Outpost Popcorn Mix and Water at 0 credits lmao
the other two foods not shown in the screenshot above are Yobshrimp Noodle Salad and Braised Shaak Roast
Ronto Roasters
This food place has two of the same options Docking Bay 7 has as well as two additional food items
Oga’s Cantina
The only area that you see the inside of
yea the bar serves batuu-only drinks too
also where you find the guy who would give you Scoundrel missions, Hondo Ohnaka.

You can essentially max your Scoundrel reputation without it hindering whichever side you wanna take, and you can keep it when you essentially max out your rep on either the Resistance or the First Order.

There aren’t any real pros to being a Scoundrel aside from some socialization interactions. It doesn’t do anything for initial Batuu gameplay aside from unlocking Scoundrel outfits in CAS and some upgrades for your droids, but this goes for all of your options (Resistance, First Order, & Scoundrel).
The Dwelling
This is a rabbit hole where your sim goes to sleep, pee, or shower… If not the closest bench. 
It’s located opposite to the Cantina. 
If you’re ever lost, there’s a spire you can sit/nap on right in front of it–or you can just wait till your sim wants to pee.

Dok Ondar’s Den of Antiquities
Another rabbithole
This place sells items you can use to complete missions, like Dataspikes and a couple of Lightsaber parts
Majority of the inventory are decorative stuff to bring back with you
Savi’s Workshop
Right behind the antique shop is the lightsaber place where you can find more hilts, kyber crystals, and display cases for your lightsabers.
You can also click on the shop to start a lightsaber challenge.
Outside this area, you have the First Order District which has more supply crates and control panels than the other two neighborhoods, and a lot more activity–Makes sense since this is basically the hub for the First Order in general. 
There’s only the Droid Depot in this area, and the only real shop that has use for credits. Food wise, there’s a food stall, and if your sim is stinky or tired, they’d basically disappear for a few minutes to recharge and come back.

Each faction has specific Droid personality traits
Aside from “voices,” these personalities don’t do much
I guess the First Order one is a lot more zap-happy though
The Resistance Camp is even smaller. Like the other areas, it’s littered with supply crates, but only has one control panel and no shops. However, there’s a rabbit hole toward the back in the Caves.

This doesn’t lead you to anywhere interesting, and it’s just another ‘choose your own adventure’ kind of thing. 
2. Ships
In the Black Spire Outpost, you’ll find the iconic Millennium Falcon. You can do kessel runs and explore in the Millennium Falcon with Chewbacca if you have a high Scoundrel reputation. 
However, although I said you get to ride with Chewbacca, you don’t ever see him come out 
He just kinda……………..stays there
and the prompts tell u he’s there
n ur gonna have to go with it and use the power of your imagination to believe he really do be there

In the First Order District, there’s the TIE Echelon, which functions the same way as the Millennium Falcon… But, you can’t do anything outside of exploring or using it for missions. This is how the X-Wing Starfighter in the Resistance Camp functions as well. 
It’s all pretty copy and paste, but w/e, that’s how EA does it

3. Missions
There may be several different missions per faction, but to no one’s surprise, they’re all literally the same one but worded differently.
Regular missions only have one plus (+) and one negative (-) icon
Regular Scoundrel missions only have one plus icon and no negatives since they don’t impact other factions
Each faction has a regular mission that pertains to:
Obtaining information
Exploring with the faction’s designated ship
Stealing from Supply Crates
Hacking a Control Panel
Yes………………….They’re very repetitive
You don’t have to do all of them though
You can spam the same one over and over as long as it fits the time slot
For example, the Resistance’s ship exploration mission is limited to only the day time and seems to disappear when it gets late in game
also there’s an error with the TIE Echelon where it’s missing a whole ass prompt

Story Missions are the only missions that seem to differentiate from each faction.

All missions that pertain to the “story” are indicated with prerequisites of higher ranks within the faction
All of them give a double boost toward your faction
If it’s a Resistance story quest, it’ll always increase hostility from First Order members
Vice versa for the First Order faction
The Scoundrels are neutral, and do not impact any faction 
It’s only the Resistance and First Order factions that have very similar plot lines
but I’m guessing it’s only like that since they’re supposed to follow the vague cause/effect the two of them have?
4. Aspirations
The initial Aspiration you get when you pick the Star Wars umbrella in CAS (or in game) is “Hope VS Order.” After completing this one aspiration, you unlock the 3 that pertain to each faction.
Paragon of Hope
Resistance aspiration
Reward trait gives a boost to Charisma skill building
This is probably nice for those careers that need Charisma to be high, like the Political and Business branches
Enforcer of Order
First Order aspiration
Lowers chances of “Death from Anger”
Since I like killing my sims, I think this aspiration is pointless lmao
Galactic Privateer
Scoundrel aspiration
“Sleight of Hand” reward trait
Unlocks pickpocketing outside of Criminal branch usage
Best one here tbh
Works outside of Batuu, you’ll steal simoleons instead of credits
Also you can cheat whenever u play Sabaac and no one will notice
5. Reevaluation of Initial Opinions
I’ll be going through my initial list from my Response to the Ask I got before. I originally stated that it seemed promising and it was a 3.5~4/10.
Aesthetics/Visual: my opinion is unchanged, it still made me sad i can’t have a little shanty house out there or rent a garbo lot, 0.5/5
The longer I played, the more I didn’t find any new animations
The lightsaber sparring slowly began to look like a mash between GF and RoM duels after a while
I still hate that the areas were beautiful (+0.5) but the interactive places forced cutaway
why do you wanna ruin my screenshots like this, man
CAS/BB still is hard to integrate–Unless your sim is a geek with figurines, the ship models might be nice to add to their collections
Otherwise……

Gameplay: uhhh at least i found something i could use outside of Batuu, 1.5/5
I think that playing 3984729847 repetitive missions for a long period time really orientated me to the whole map
…but the fact that i had trouble the first time around still makes it not-user friendly
the issue I had with the resistance members not having an icon? It’s a thing, I guess
The resistance quests take you on a weird trip to “prove” yourself so i guess the icons are supposed to show that they’re “not” resistance members or something idk
they’re supposed to be the sneaky underdogs who wanna do good or w/e
I guess that’s immersive…….. +0.5

they also have “Ignite the Spark” and “Ask about Missions” both leading to the same mission screen……………….

missions are still confusing, made worse when the game itself glitches up a storm
there was one mission where i had to go to the cantina to find someone
and they wouldn’t spawn within the time frame………….
i had to go in and out for like 3 days until they actually spawned
i only knew this bc i arrested half the people in the cantina while i was bored
so anyone without a red bar was probably them lmfaoo
also, as i stated above……. there’s some mission errors in the prompts 
Currency is still worthless.
Everything can be done by purely stealing from supply crates
Credits are only worth to blow it off on sabaac! 
The only real need for credits is to have 1,000 so u can buy a droid
Then slam the rest of those credits on the table to bet bajillions on a game of sabaac!
Aspirations………. Useful +1
Despite them being sorta niche, they’re pretty decent
Can abuse the rewards for optimal gameplay for a super sim
Honestly i just love the pickpocketing reward off the Scoundrel aspiration, just because it works outside of Batuu (and that he didn’t have to be in the Criminal career for it either)

In total, my personal rating for this pack is 2/10.
It was nice, but I don’t really see this pack being replayable, considering that i did everything there was to do on Batuu in a single trip. Sure I could’ve taken my time, but since everything would end up the same anyway, it felt like it was set up to be a one-time gig. 
At least with JA you’re moderately forced to return so you can collect treasures that are RNG–In JtB, you can snatch up all that you need on Batuu from grinding everything like a nutcase. There’s also chances of failure in JA, but on Batuu that percentage is almost little to none. The most you’ll ever get is a dazed moodlet that barely lasts, a negative relationship, and being escorted to a loading screen.  
I feel like this pack could be a little better if there were more risks involved, but there are barely any that I encountered. It’s just another weird, rehashed cash grab by EA.

Today, we talk with:

​​A very good friend of mine who was actually one of my very first RP friends back in the days of Heavensward. Kuro was one of the first groups i joined, called Goldbrand. A pirate group that mostly focused on hunting Relics and the like. I learned a lot about RP from him, and made me really enjoy writing stories. He is also a very awesome dude and very humble. I hope our little interview helps you get motivated to RP, and to set that first step into the fantastic world of FFXIV!
My first question for Kuro was:
When you started RP, how did you start? Did you have a lot of help? Kuro: I started 6 years ago in XIV RP. I've been LARPing, I've built my own scuffed tabletop game with me and a bud, I've done WoW RP (Didn't click with me due to bad introduction to it.) As an only child, I've always had nothing but the highest of imagination's and I've always been tethered to create and build.I had tons of help. I wouldn't be here in the community without one of my ex's who drove me into it. I was a cuck. They shaped me and saw that, I was passionately nerdy about this stuff and always directed me towards this but, I was a shy bean and in a cocoon thought I’d fail or be a burden. After they parted with me for being naive and needing to harden me with heartbreak, I took a gamble for myself. Leaped in after a person named Sei took me in, I created Captain off just his glamour alone and then built off the tiny sketches with what I had in solo and overtime.Started from Gilgamesh, then went to Balmung. This was the era when Quicksands a majority of the time was filled with ERP and anything on the outskirts, were the more serious players and you had to go looking. I made a character fit and based around Quicksands and centered around the atmosphere. It felt fitting. So I went brash from being the most introvert by playing the most opposite to me. To not only challenge myself, but to force me to learn more. This overall was more productive of aiding in my conquest for building my Tabletop game, at first, it was mainly for that...Then eventually as my reputation was mainly ERP but somehow my F-list had some actual character-depth, I expanded and branched off. I was told by my Kahn'a my practical Yoshi P and lore guide. Some helpful hints and after that they practically set me up for transitioning out of just being a smut writer, even though I had a story behind each thing, I wanted to transition out. Then I met Verrine, Mishi, Thorcatte, Sun’ra, These people really put the ground-works into my story alongside Kahn'a, everywhere I turned, every person I met, they were inspirations, they were aiding me in RPing and feeling like this is my home, this is the land of the nerds and I owe them everything for letting me find this haven.Eventually another friend told me basically, why not just DM(Dungeon Master). Since I had contacts, I had the RP and creativity for it. They pointed me in that direction. Wasn't until I met my longest and really huge gratitude of an RPer in Ayla, who eventually inspired and led me into not only you. But bringing in many others who I eventually found as crew.I owe a tremendous amount to Ayla... Without a shadow of a doubt. Kahn'a too, but I could say literally, I owe everyone, four-hundred people in my head right now. From I've ever contacted or came into RP or even plotted none of their experiences have ever gone to waste. They each gave me a presence of passion. I transitioned off; led a huge DM group that was mainly done because you reached back out after I hit a downward spiral. After I left everything behind and ruined nearly all of it and lost my mojo.You rose me back like the phoenix, I eventually created a plot so massive that I could DM for like thirty individual people with the right support and people, did I fail in being a community leader or dealing with drama and involving everyone with my health and limited energy? You're damn straight. -- I failed utterly horrendously!  However -- It wasn't entirety wasn't in vain, people found their little groups and pockets in that, they met their meshes. Which objectively, that's all that matters as someone who organizes those to bring people together and in.After that... I transitioned into Tumblr more after being encouraged by people like Fair-Fae from afar, to Sei. Then worked on drumming to the beats given. To every person, even the ones that are angry emoji in the background-- I love em' their passion rubs into me and it breathes of air, gives me wings better than red-bull advertises! As someone who's dealing with an inoperable and bed-ridden rare disease, I've never been or felt more alive.I owe so much to people, and it's why I've stuck around for six years now and continue to batter up against the foul. This is why, I want to raise, boost, encourage, and rally others to be shared so they find in match-making their RP partners, and despite... I know my writing style hasn't ever been everyone's flavor, I never have ever thought of ever wanting someone not to find happiness. I couldn't give up RP at this stage. My next question would be, If you could give a tip to someone who just wanted to start to get into RP, what would you say to them? Kuro:  Know this. Getting into RP is a joke. It's really easy, you possess already every tool to be a tremendous RPer! Much better than I and I ever will be.
Short version: Just communicate. RP It's merely a Dance that can be positively enchanting, magical! -- I don't care what anyone says. ~ It's a partnership, you've got to find the people who keep up with pace and momentum, or blend with your style. You won't always find that and it's not a bad thing if that can't work. Some characters don't connect, some are opposite but they can still work. That's because it requires, one additional thing that requires: a pillar of effort. Don't let yourself be overwhelmed. Looking from the outside this game I've heard and seen, It's intimidatingly daunting. It's a lot to get into. Though this game? It's unoriginal. There isn't anything you can't create in this game, you have science, you've got alchemy, you've got magic. This game is literally called Fantasy in the title, this game has yanked and pulled off all the foundations of RL concepts, other fantasy tropes, religions, and renamed them and splashes over paint. You can do the same... Anything can be explained, I don't care what it is. People are fundamentally not grown as the exact same, I'm not personally here to be a clone trooper. Now If I want to play that, I can even do that respectively.* Look around the game visually, see if you think it can be done with the setting and place, build yourself something anything, you've got a whole box of legos don’t step on them. It’s proven constantly your creativity can be endless the more you play over time, or invest, put yourself out there. Go look into some guides, pull from a book, or google anything you’re thinking about. Again: People have styles they're different. You may appeal to being an NPC, you may like to be extended into Lore, you may not like all the fantasy, that's more than reasonable, it's all valid... There are people that feel you, they're waiting for YOU. Then you'll find people who are open-minded, you'll find people like me, I was in RP's with aliens, voidsents, normal people, WoL, like I've witnessed a lot. Listen to them, let them explain, and most often they fit. If you're too close-minded to accept then you don't need to worry you’ve already decided they’re not you, or your taste, leave them to their devices let them have their happiness, and go back to the scour. Don’t try harassing or bothering something that’s not there or ever will work. Wastes time and misery and drama isn’t worth unless it’s within stories, trust me. See for me... I’ve seen it all. People saying aetherfeeders and vampires didn't exist they cried on the forums and held a tantrum you had people say for years -- then boom RDM storyline and Stormblood came out debunked. Submarines weren’t things prior to SB despite we’ve got Garlean’s over here casually making Gundam’s. Their careers are over they played themselves -- this game is still continuing and always will if you're waiting for official confirmation from a -book- then you're going to be miserable, you're living off the backbone of a book meant to 'guide' and be resourceful in extension not to weaponize it and be a prick to people who don’t follow strictly the same ethic as you’ve so randomly chosen for yourself in standards, I hate to burst bubbles, but you’re never going to be 100% accurate, never ever. You didn’t create this game -- or it, therefore you can’t be anything but a replicator you’re just stuck either limiting your pieces or taking from an entire tub of building material. You aren't playing the book, you're playing the game. That's the real cannon, you literally visually see everything that's going to happen, you can bend it with predictions and logistical math. See XIV, they bend-over concepts of the real and made them fit or pried. I don't just bend lore… I bend it over. Why would there ever be anything that cannot be created? It's just how you interpret it, there are lazy ways to explain things, then there are thorough and detailed methods to get to the same realization of what you want to create that'll work and fit like puzzles to slots this story could’ve foretold. If done correctly more often then not XIV will follow suit in the same thing an expansion later if you stick to your wings, I’ve done it numerous times it feels like XIV has followed copied my test and then tried not to make it look obvious its because stories we’ve brazenly written together in deep-thinking. When my character is tagged IC that's it. Everything he witnesses or sees, I'm not refuting it. That's my chosen though, I see Quicksands and there's no way that place on my Balmung Shard and experiences is it clean, is it lead properly, or the official’s high representatives who totally are just fine with letting a Voidsent blow up the city-state. My character witnessed that, it’s set in stone. Though that's the option and you should always find what makes you comfortable, who makes you comfortable and consider that above all else. Often or not, everyone uses RP as an escape just as they play games. Don't sacrifice, don't lose yourself or not give self-love for what makes you passionate, don’t neglect yourself in taking control of being empowered and attaining friendships, fun, or treating yourself to something new to possibly take something lovely out of finding RP can be and make it all positive for yourself. Myself? I’m inspired by every person new and old who’s been in this game. I love it, do I bleed for it as my canvas? By the Twelve you know it! I’m only ever going to write stories and continue to build and grow, to learn. To do anything to give back. When a passion gives you life, you show that thankfulness by blazing that flame. My last question would be: Is there anything else you wanted to add or say to people? Kuro:  Nope. Rest boils to the decisions you pave yourself and if you want to take the plunge. Just know you're worthy, valid, and this place isn't and never will be one batch or selective, It’s not too late ever there’s no expiration to get into RP, there’s a reason RP last longer than the lifespan of the game’s even when they’ve hit the lowest of lows in dry content, there’s always been unity. Leia for the character breakdown
How I feel about this character
It’s funny - I’ve always liked Leia but as a kid I failed to appreciate her a bit, mostly because I resented being The Girl in the friend group and thus slotted into the role of princess when what I wanted to do was wave around a lightsaber (=stick that we were warned by our parents would poke someone’s eye out). The older I get the more I appreciate her initial role of diplomat-spy (and how dedicated she is despite fitting really poorly inside it personality-wise), her ruthless streak, her moments of intense kindness, the way she’s both bluntspoken and elusive and that her coping mechanism of choice is to hide by getting right up in people’s faces (all five feet of her)…and also that in some ways she’s all of that in spite of the narrative.
Also, SW novels are pretty mediocre as a rule but Bloodline was one of the rare exceptions that gave me honest-to-god Feelings.
TL;DR I love Leia, the more so because it developed over time.
All the people I ship romantically with this character
I mean…Han. Maybe it’s predictable but I’m very fond of this pairing, mostly because if you even peek between the lines it’s very easy to read what initially looks like standard belligerent sexual tension as genuine trauma on Leia’s part and genuine class-consciousness and self-image issues on Han’s.
Like - if the OT were interested in the destruction of Alderaan as more than a plot beat, and also a little more interested in Leia’s inner life, it would be immediately clear that ESB Leia watched her planet obliterated (after being captured and tortured!), of course she’s coping by throwing herself into the cause of destroying the Empire and shying away from personal relationships with people who could die and/or leave, of course she’s angry at the thought of Han abandoning the Rebellion (and her). Meanwhile I don’t think anyone who has watched Star Wars for more than thirty seconds is under the impression that Han’s I Think I’m Hot Shit act is anything but a remarkably thin and unconvincing cover for massive insecurity, the man’s personality is like 80% defense mechanism and yet still somehow transparent as glass. His inner monologue is she’s too good for me and also a princess, so like the mature and well-adjusted individual he is he keeps picking fights that boil down to OH SO YOU THINK YOU’RE TOO GOOD FOR ME, YOUR WORSHIPFULNESS? FINE, I DIDN’T CARE ANYWAY.
Like I said before, imo any good ship is a character study that lets you explore both characters more deeply and I think this one draws out interesting things in both of them, and then ultimately changes them both in interesting ways.
Also I can’t believe I’m writing meta about the I love you/I know exchange in the year 2k20 but that’s honestly one of the kindest, most emotionally intelligent things Han could possibly have said in that moment to a woman who lost her entire planet and never got to say goodbye: Yes, we have been bickering all movie long and it was difficult for you to say how you felt, but I know and if this is it you don’t have to have regrets. (Han Solo’s entire reputation for coolness rests on having a quota of 1.5 moments per movie where he nails it and says exactly the correct thing at exactly the correct time and then reverts to being a lovable dumbass running his mouth, fight me.) And then he’s the only guy around who doesn’t see her chained up and mostly naked because he is literally blind at the time, and when he himself gets around to saying ILU it’s because she’s preparing to shoot a couple stormtroopers in the face so…he’s a little confused sometimes but he’s got the spirit, even if certain aspects of their relationship are definitely less cute in 2020 than they were in 1980.
My sense of humor is terrible but I admit I’m also amused by the thought of (a) bored and frozen rebels on Hoth taking bets on when the absolutely unbearable sexual tension will snap and they won’t be treated to quite so many screaming matches and (b) the number of middle-aged rebel leaders who undoubtedly recall Leia as a child, their TRAGICALLY DEAD FRIENDS Bail and Breha’s child at that, and on the one hand they keep taking deep breaths and telling themselves she’s an adult, she’s a responsible adult and leader in her own right do not condescend to her and on the other they’re watching this belligerent courtship with a disastrous hot mess of a thirty-year-old smuggler going NNNNNGHH OH GOD.
Less boring answers: I kind of think it would make for deliciously angsty fic if Leia and Lando had grief&guilt sex while planning Han’s rescue with no way of knowing whether he’s even still alive. Also, it’s very easy to imagine an AU where the truth of Luke and Leia being siblings didn’t come out quite fast enough, and sue me but I’m kind of into the Greek tragedy vibe there.
My non-romantic OTP for this character  
Going to be predictable again and say Luke, for the very simple reason that the depth of sibling love there always feels very real onscreen.
My unpopular opinion about this character
The ST all but repeatedly shoves it in our faces that Leia is just as much a part of the Skywalker legacy as Luke and while I understand the meta reasons for it (in this story’s dubious framing, being a Skywalker=being Important/being a Hero, and thus it’s an attempt to remedy some of the baked-in sexism of the OT), I’m really not into it because Leia herself has never shown any indication of caring beyond the fact that Luke is her brother.
I’m admittedly not very invested in either the Skywalker Family Drama or the Jedi (I know, what kind of SW fan), so maybe it’s not surprising that I feel this way. But I’ve always really appreciated that Luke and Leia have remarkably different perspectives on Darth Vader, because I think it hits upon something very true and human - that people who survive the same destructive environment can nonetheless experience it very differently and come out with remarkably different coping mechanisms, and part of loving someone is giving them grace to process in their own way even if it’s really difficult for you to wrap your head around. That’s a real thing that siblings from dysfunctional/abusive families have to navigate, and whether it’s intended or not I like the resonance it has.
I also try not to take sides too much because imo both reactions are pretty understandable in light of their different personalities and experiences, and it’s the fact that their responses are different that makes it interesting. But also…I don’t think anyone could ever argue that limb amputation and attempted corruption of the soul is healthy father-and-son bonding time, Vader and Luke’s relationship is clearly possessive and dynastic and intensely fucked up even if it’s ultimately (and arguably) redemptive, but with Leia it’s like…he physically holds her while her planet is annihilated, he tortures her with the Force and yet he never even sees her. And if that isn’t a real and relatable “family wherein daughter and son have VERY different feelings about their absolute trainwreck of a father” mood.  
So I support her refusal to forgive him, and I support her firm assertions that Bail Organa is her father and the fact that she wonders about Padmé but still firmly considers Breha her mother (frankly also a relatable adopted child mood), and I’m not a fan of Leia as part of the Skywalker legacy because (at least in the EU) neither is she.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon  
I wish that either the ST and associated material were not a massive trashfire, or that there was the slightest amount of narrative self-awareness about the fact that based on what we’re shown Leia honestly isn’t a very good organizer and the Resistance is way more of a mess than the Rebellion ever was (which is saying something, because a well-oiled machine the Rebel Alliance was not). And also that there was some kind of reckoning with the political failures of the New Republic that led to them fighting this battle all over again barely three decades after the Empire fell.
Disney’s entire business model is maximum nostalgia/minimum risk and so perhaps unsurprisingly they made marketing projects instead of movies and also managed to be as politically vacuous as George Lucas at his worst, but I guess we’ll always have fanfic.

Analysis
Reinhardt is one of the few early FEH units that has managed to remain relevant in FEH’s everchanging meta. Introduced as a brave tome user alongside his sister, Olwen, he proved to be a strong unit capable of defeating all sorts of opponents. This only improved with the introduction of inheritance later on as it opened Rein up to more offensively geared skills such as Death Blow.
Reinhardt’s base stats, upon first look, are nothing to write home about. With middling defenses at 27/25 Def/Res, a decent Atk stat of 32 and an abysmal 23 Spd it’s hard to believe at first that he remains relevant in the current meta. However it is this exact stat spread that makes Reinhardt so powerful especially when paired with his base kit. Dire Thunder acts as a brave weapon, allowing the user to hit twice before his opponent can counterattack in exchange for -5 Spd. Because Reinhardt doesn’t have much speed to begin with however this penalty is completely negligible. With the majority of units in game possessing a lower Res stat Reinhardt can deal deceptively high amounts of damage. His low Spd however is his downfall as he can be doubled by multiple units in game fairly easy. There are also a vast amount of ranged units that can easily counter Reinhardt nowadays. It’s important when using Reinhardt that players have a unit that can escort him back to safety.

Reinhardt requires very little investment to do his job properly. Since his goal will be to deal as much damage as possible to his opponents we’ll be focusing on his damage output. 
In both sets we take Death Blow as his A skill as it grants +6 damage in combat if Reinhardt initiates. The set on the left takes Lancebreaker to kit him out to be a sure lance counter. Quickened Pulse will decrease Moonbow’s cooldown ensuring that on Rein’s second hit that he activates it. On the right set we use his native Vantage in combination with Fierce Stance to provide him with a consistent +6 Atk while in combat. Vantage will allow him to counterattack first once below or at 75% of his base HP. This set must be used with caution however: if Rein fails to kill his opponent on his counterattack it’s unlikely he’ll survive a second hit.
Reinhardt’s seal options include but aren’t limited to: Attack+3, Atk/Def 2, Atk/Res 2, Sturdy Blow, Bond skills and Quickened Pulse.

Because Reinhardt’s default weapon is a brave tome we want to ensure that he does the highest amount of damage possible. 
The set on the left focuses on hitting as hard as possible using both Death Blow 4 and Sturdy Blow 2. When stacked together, Reinhardt will have a massive 56 Atk/31 Def without any further buffs. Because Rein’s B and C skills are rather flexible here we use Pass 3 to sneak past opponents to target units that would otherwise be outside of Rein’s range of attack. Pass will allow Reinhardt to go through opponents if his HP is kept above or at 25% of his base HP. This can be used as a way to catch opponents off guard or to help continue a Wings of Mercy dancer/Galeforce chain. 
The set on the right opts for a more unorthodox approach utilizing the Desperation/Brash Assault combination. Because Dire Thunder is a brave tome Rein has the potential to quad opponents he can double. This is normally an impossible feat unless on is using a breaker skill or the Desperation/Brash Assault combo. The idea behind this combination is that once Rein falls below or at 50% of his base HP he can then quad hit all opponents that can counterattack against him. He will basically get 4 free hits in before his opponent can counterattack (if they can). For example, if Rein is in combat against a unit with Distant Counter and Rein is in Desperation/Brash Assault range, Rein will hit his foe 4 times before they can counterattack once. This does not apply if Rein is in combat against a non distant counter unit.  We take Fury to help get him into both Desperation and Brash Assault’s range as quickly as possible. His special is flexible and can be swapped out depending on what works best.
High Investment:

Reinhardt has plenty of options when it comes to higher investment. Of course, depending on which IVs a person takes determines how he’ll turn out in the long run. The following sets are best intended for players who plan on fully merging Reinhardt.
Reinhardt is a deceptively bulky unit and can tank quite a few hits with a Def IV. Atk/Def Solo is taken to compliment his role as a stand alone ranged nuke in combination with his decent physical bulk to make him harder to directly knock out. When used in combination with Sturdy Blow 2, Reinhardt will have 55 Atk/44 Def while in combat with no further buffs. Chill Res is taken to ensure that Rein does the highest amount of damage possible, especially against higher Res units. 
While normally Rein doesn’t care much about his Spd, it can be invested in nonetheless to make him a proper player phase unit. He will need a massive amount of help to bring his Spd up however hence why we use a Spd refined weapon, Life and Death 3, Spd+3 and Even Spd Wave. Being a blue tome unit Reinhardt has access to the powerful Juicy Wave+ which has Desperation built into it. This frees up his B slot to run chill skills such as Chill Spd to open himself up to doubles he would have normally missed.

Kanab, Utah, November 2021 I had found out about the wave (north coyote buttes) a few years ago and it’s on a lot of people’s bucket lists and super competitive as they only allow 64 people / 16 groups in each day (whichever comes first - so if 16 solo hiker “groups” are selected, only 16 people are going in a given day) and employ a lottery system. 48 people / 12 groups is allocated for an online lottery for 4 months in advance, and 16 people / 4 groups is allocated for an in person lottery a day in advance. I figured since I had just come from Vegas and won some money playing a slot machine for the first time using some free money I got staying at the cosmopolitan, I’d try my luck at the lottery. Although I was not successful, Kanab was a great place to be “stuck” for 2 weeks. I was an hour from Zion, 1.5 hours from Bryce, 3 hours from Grand Canyon, an hour from Page (Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend), and there are so many cool hikes in the area like Buckskin Gulch and even hikes in Kanab itself! I even got to go rock climbing and foster a kitty as well! There’s so many things to do, people are super friendly, and there are some good food options as well! On the last night I stayed at the motel the manager and I even cooked lol. Her son had given her fresh deer killed earlier that day which she wrapped in bacon and grilled and I found a recipe online for some alaskan salmon she wanted to cook. I love the area so much I’m actually planning on stopping by on my way back east and give the lottery one last try lol For those interested, I collected some data from my 11 days in the lottery (see last picture). At the highest, there were 202 people / 73 groups and at the lowest, there were 76 people / 34 groups. I skipped a few days since I went to the Grand Canyon but came back to nurse my ankle and figured I’d try one more time for Day 11. Hi! I love your blog! I was just wondering how you divide up your practice time to fit everything in?
Thank you! And honestly, I am not successful w this all the time .. today I spent 1.5 hours on etudes when I should've been working on my concerto lol. In general, however, I do about 1/4 scales/triads/thirds etc, 1/4 etudes and 1/2 solo. Obviously things change a bit during audition /performance heavy seasons w excerpts and such though. It just depends on what sorts of performances or competitions I have coming up, so I'll alter things slightly if I have to. Those fractions are just my general breakdown. If you're having trouble w time management I would suggest creating time-slots for each type of practice and use a timer. See how well you were able to accomplish each goal within that time frame and adjust accordingly. This will give you a general idea of how to fit things in and also it will sorta "pressure" you to practice efficiently and not waste time.

~COMMISSION RATES~
CHARACTER COMMISSIONS
Lineart: $20
Flat color: $30
Simple shading (just shadows): $40
Fully shaded (highlights, etc.) (smooth or cell, you pick): $56
Extra costs:
For waist-up / bust shot commissions, take 25% of the base cost off.
For complex designs, add 25% of the base cost.
Add 50% for an extra character, angle, or sequence portion.
~CHARACTER DESIGNS~
I can also help come up with character designs and character sheets.
These assume you have no direct reference material of a character. If you’ve had them drawn before, feel free to just get a regular commission!
Lineart: $30
Flat color: $44
Simple shading (just shadows): $60

EXTRA ONLY: Sketches: $5 each as full views, or 2-for-$5 if they’re just bust shots for expressions.
Extra angles are 50% of the above costs each, not including sketch add-ons.

Instructions:
1. Select what level of quality you want for your ‘primary’ image. (Note: I’d suggest avoiding complex shading, solely because it can distort the character’s color pallet on the reference.)
2. Decide how many alternate angles / drawings you want.
Extra angles can show alternate sides and forms of a character, expressive features, or highlight how some parts are drawn.
Note that these cananot exceed the primary image’s quality–if you get a flat color primary, you can’t have a shaded alt image. But, you can get a shaded primary and a flat alt ($60 + $22).
3. Decide how much you want to be open to interpretation and describe your character to the best of your ability. Focus on physical description. A brief mention of their role/purpose in their world, or their personality can sometimes be helpful as well, as designs should often reflect a character’s purpose.
A color list is also helpful.
I’d recommend reading up here for examples of how to describe a character to give you some ideas.
4. Provide me with ANY reference material that might help. Images of similar characters, clothing references, body type references, or art styles help.
~ANIMATION LOOPS~
Loops are up to 6 seconds long. I’d recommend discussing this with me so I can tell you what level of detail would be right for you.
I’ll sketch up a very VERY rough draft of what you’re asking for to help give an estimate of the timing and cost. Times are rounded up–so a 1.5 second animation would be charged at a 2-second rate.
All animations are at 24 fps and are flat color or have limited shading. Some outfit designs may need to be simplified slightly to be animated (patterns in animation, for instance, are hell)
Simple movement: no major angle changes. Examples: expressions, gentle dancing/swaying, lipsynching. $50 for the first second, $15 per additional second.
Standard movement: character is undergoes a few angle changes or has a few parts that are more dynamic. Examples: walk/runcycles, individual attack animations, movements or turns of up to 90 degrees. $70 for the first second, $25 per additional second
Dynamic movement: character is in constant motion. Examples: most non-rigged frame by frame work, combo attack animations, any movement of 180 degrees or more. $90 for the first second, $35 per additional second.
Again, transparent or simple backgrounds only. Add 50% of the total cost if it’s of 2 characters. (No more than 2)

~FLAVORTOWN~ (or what I’m used to / what things mean)
I draw a lot of girls, but I can draw guys too.
Complex designs include things like mecha and anything with complicated patterning or structure, color schemes, etc.
NSFW and complex poses are A-okay. You got your weird porn you want drawn? I’m the guy to draw it. Maybe.
I’m usually pretty good with emulating a style, if you have any preferences. Do note I can’t make promises on this aspect.
~NO-NO LIST~ (or what I definitely will not do)
no MLP or FNAF stuff. This includes species-bending an MLP character. I’m not gonna draw your ponysona as a wolf with two monster dongs.
nothing that’d be illegal (no lolicon)
no body waste fetishes, extreme gore, or vore.
no foot fetishes (I really just do NOT like feet ._. I’m fine with drawing feet, but I won’t draw things like footjobs or perspective closeups on them)
if commissioning one of my OCs, they can’t be wildly out of character
I’m relatively chill with most kinks and content, but I do reserve the right to decline a commission if I’m against it, even if it’s not on the no-no list.
~DISCOUNTS~
I offer a few discounts depending on the nature of the commission.
A: If you’re commissioning something including one of my own characters, take 50% off the extra character fee for including them, or 30% off overall if it’s a solo image.
B: If you’re a patron, you can take 10% off the total commission cost if you’re in the basic or student tiers, or 25% off the total cost if you’re anything higher. This discount is applied after discount A if valid.
