❝Would it matter if I was?❞ Back turned to the newcomer, who he knew was another eater by the smell of her, Lee rummaged through the tent that had belonged to the person he'd killed and feasted on only a few minutes ago. It was a gory mess on the inside, the sleeping bag drenched in a pool of blood with small chunks of flesh mixed in, while splatters of it were dripping down the fabric walls. The body was so mangled and mutilated that someone who stumbled across it would probably just assume it was a bear attack or something of the sort. One only needed to unzip the flap of the tent and get a whiff rusted iron to know that there was something or someone dead inside.

Blood covered hands wiped against a semi-clean part of the sleeping bag before reaching for a backpack in the corner and dragging it closer. Various zippers were pulled open and pockets were reached into, the bag being pulled open wide to allow him to get a better look rather than dumping everything out. Money was the ideal find, because shoplifting was just another way to put him on the radar if he got caught, and he mostly had everything he needed in his own bag anyway.

Just as Lee had exited the tent and was ready to leave, he instead stood in place, his gaze downcast, and pondered something for a moment. Seconds later, he was turning back around to retrieve the backpack from the tent, where it was then tossed to land at the other's feet. He'd been very to the point with his answers, keeping them short and bordering on unfriendly, but he wasn't trying to be an asshole to her. He just didn't typically go out of his way to make friends and it wasn't often he came across others like him. ❝You can take what you want from it.❞ He personally had no use for anything inside of it: A flashlight, utensils, bear spray, a first-aid kit, and some other things that you would typically expect to find on a camper. All he had wanted was the lighter, something that he had a growing collection of from taking them off various dead bodies.
