Groovy nü-metal stalwarts Godsmack, answerable for such hits as "I Stand Alone," "Cryin' Like A Bitch," and "Awake," is perhaps hanging it up quickly. According to frontman Sully Erna in an interview with 101.1 WJRR, Godsmack has written and recorded the follow-up to their 2018 report When Legends Rise. Erna famous that "we're just gonna hit it one more time hard and heavy" and that the brand new report could very effectively be their final.Advertisement. Scroll to proceed studying."The first thing to do is these shows. We have six of 'em to do, last night [being] one of 'em and tonight another one. We have four more to do over the next two weekends. And then it's pretty loose until October. Then we start 'touring touring' in Europe, we do South America, we [play] some international [shows]. We'll be back first quarter of '23 with a new record."The report's completed; we're carried out recording it. You ought to in all probability be listening to new music by summertime — mid to late summer time — after which following it up with a second single and the total report by the highest of '23. That's the plan. And then we're simply gonna hit it yet another time exhausting and heavy. For all we know, Godsmack might do the album and ensuing tour, only to decide that maybe it isn't time to hang it up. Though really, Godsmack has been a band since 1995 and their output has slowed to a new record every four years. The guys in the band are also pushing their mid-50s, so calling it a day at this point doesn't feel too farfetched. Not to say they couldn't do Godsmack's music as older guys, but y'know – being in a band for nearly 30 years might get monotonous at some point.Either way, a new Godsmack album is coming in 2023.Advertisement. LARS ULRICH On METALLICA: 'We Fear Complacency, We Fear Being Uninspired'

In a brand new interview with Variety, METALLICA drummer Lars Ulrich was asked how his views on streaming and technology have changed in the seventeen years since the band launched legal action against Napster for enabling thievery and copyright infringement. "I was having dinner with somebody yesterday and we were talking about the state of the music business and I don't think it's something you can control," he said. "'How do you put records out? How does it feel to be in a band? How does the business side work?' All that stuff is something that is constantly evolving and the only thing you can do as an artist is sort of hold on and let the ride take you wherever the ride takes you. You have to adapt — if you don't, and you don't continue to evolve, you're dead. Somebody else will take your place or you're just gonna run into a creative stagnation. And I think, as an artist, that makes it much more interesting. "When we put out our last record six months ago, we had no idea what the fuck we were doing, but that was part of what made it so interesting, because it was almost like there was a creative process attached to releasing the record," he continued. "The creative process didn't end with writing the songs and making the record; it was like releasing the record itself was a creative process, whereas thirty years ago, it was just a formula you followed. So that's kind of what's cool about what's happening in 2017 — all this is constantly evolving. For me, but also the other guys in the band, we fear complacency, we fear being uninspired." Lars told the WJRR 101.1 radio station last month that he and his METALLICA bandmates have "embraced all the streaming options out there. I mean, we love our Apple Music, we love our friends at Spotify, we love all the rest of 'em out there," he said. "At the end of the day, you wanna connect with your fans, you wanna get your music out there. Obviously, METALLICA fans have many different ways that they get music and receive music, so our thing is to try to get that to them in as many ways as possible." He continued: "The whole issue from, I guess, seventeen years ago was not really about the digital element; it was about who controlled the digital element. And so now that we control all of it ourselves, it's not really a question. Spotify and Apple Music and all the rest of 'em are great ways to get our music out there, and I have Apple Music and Spotify right on the very front screen of my own phone, and I use both of them. So it's cool." The North American leg of METALLICA's "WorldWired" trek will hit a stadium in one more city before ending. The next stop on the tour is Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on August 16. The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame band is touring in support of its tenth studio album, "Hardwired... To Self-Destruct", which came out last November. [Read More ...]

Sevendust NYE 2016

A lot of people were wanting to put 2016 behind and ring in New Year .What better way to ring in the New Year then with a BANG at the House of Blues on the grounds of Disney World Orlando with- if not the best live band you can go see- one of the best.. Sevendust !!  … and may ears were ringing this night, as Sevendust came to show they are the best live show in the business !

The Sevendust NYE show that was put on by WJRR 101.1 out of Orlando -through in a few other heavye hitters with special guest  Red Sun Rising and Soulswitch– The table was set up to be an epic show of hard hitting music from start to finish, and that is just what happened.

Soulswitch took to the stage first to heat up the packed house and never looked back. They word the crowd into a frenzy from the first not to the last, with hair and guitar picks flyin’ like you have never seen before. Soulswitch is one of these up an coming bands to keep an eye out for, they pound it hard and often and never look back, Shredding through song after song that get the heads banging on stage and circle pits that grow in size every minute.

Red Sun Rising is making a name for themselves to be a band you can not miss, and they showed that this night on New Years Eve 2016. The brought the energy like now other, hitting the tune we all know so well now like “Amnesia” and the hit some ” Emotionless ” got the crowd screaming. These guys are swinging for the fences in 2017 and there is nothing that is going to stop them from hitting it out of the park !!

Sevendust is  bands you just have to see live to really see just how freaking good they really are. I mean these guys dont hold anything back..the emotions were flying and the energy was insane. Lajon and the boys were on fire !!, They brought in the new year in style with the nearly sold out show at the House Of Blues. They kicked off the show with “Pieces”to the delight of many fans, and it all went crazy from there, with ripping out hit after hits like” Face to Face” that put the crowd into a frenzy with the hard hitting bass and drums that just make to want to mash, and they ended the show with “Thank You” off the Kill The Flaw album. The place was rocking and rolling up to the new years count down with the band the lucky VIPs that cheered a toast with the band on stage, and im sure that is going to be one memory the band and the fans with never forget.
