also out of curiosity i took the universal mary sue litmus test again (that the original author disowned some time ago lol) with sammy because i knew he'd tick a lot of boxes--and for a test where the worst possible range for points is anything over 50 ("your character is almost certainly a terrible sue or you misread the instructions") he ended up with 63 which is just really fucking funny to me because that test considers the safe range for a "good" character to be 5-21. i'm literally having the time of my life writing the demon kitty and i'd gladly bump that score up even higher if i could ❤️

#i have to wonder if anybody else took that test when they were younger and if their average scores for characters #differ compared to then #13 year old me would have been utterly distraught to get a score that high when most of my ocs barely pushed 5-16 pts #i also found them much more boring and underdeveloped and struggled to write for them #i wonder why!
