Ohhhhhhhhhhh yeaaaaaaaaa heading to the DC area! I lived in Maryland and Currently Virgina so I’m happy to help one of my favorite authors! In DC there’s Georgetown Cupcakes and I believe a Sprinkles nearby there too(both really good cupcake shops). A Raw fish customize your own food, place called Poki DC, which is really good! In Virginia there’s of course Mount. Vernon which is a beautiful place and you learn cool stuff there. A little cafe called Magnolia Bar & Coffee,(1outof2)

..Which has an Asian and French kind of vibe and they have good chocolate cake! Want to go to the beach? we have Virginia Beach! I haven’t been there myself but everyone tells me it’s great so... There’s a a shopping district called Tysons Corner! In Maryland we got the Chesapeake bay, and Baltimore Harbor with a cool Aquarium if I remember correctly.. sorry if this won’t help you or these places are a bit far,but I hope you love the DC area and hope you like Grad School!(1outof2,No 3)

!!!! thank you so much! This is an amazing help. Cause I’ll technically be living in Virginia for at least the first couple months (my potential roommate dropped off the face of the earth before we signed the lease so I had to backtrack and am now gonna live with my aunt and uncle until I find a new roomie lol) but then will be closer to DC (probably). AND I have a friend who lives in Maryland, so I’ll be sure to check all of these out!
