application > construction (The last of these "getting-to-know-#adobeillustrator" pics) MUSICAL INSTRUMENT 3 - Task: Create your favourite musical instrument. The human voice: Did you know the vocal cords (folds) vibrate about 100 to 1000 times a second to produce sound as air flows through them. The muscles in the larynx determine pitch based on the length and degree of tension in the folds. Your unique voice is the product of the air flow (lungs), vibrator (voice box), and resonating chambers (throat, nose, mouth, and sinuses) all working in conjunction. Another interesting fact is our own voice always sounds different to us than it does to others because of these internal acoustics and bone conduction; others are only exposed to our voice combined with atmospheric interference, whereas we only ever here it that way when recorded which sounds jarring and distorted in comparison to our accustomed acoustics. This was inspired by an Adobe Live session featuring Orlando Arocena @mexifunk. Watching him work really opened my eyes to what could be possible with Illustrator. I decided to go in a completely different direction with the idea of an "instrument" and took it as an opportunity to finally attempt an anatomy illustration similar to those I'd be in awe of as a kid with all their components and details giving form to the inner workings of the body we're never likely to see with our own eyes. Gatau kenapa asa pengen ikutan (eventhough it’s too late :’)) 30 days Tumblr post challenge!

The first challenge is about “DREAM”.

I have a dream, a song to sing. To help me cope, with anything~

Yah kalau yang dimaksud mimpi di kala malam saat tidur, looks like I couldn’t tell it to you guys, since i barely remember what my dreams are in nighttime while i was sleeping. Even kejadian dimana aku selalu ngigau gajelas (ini yang diceritakan temen-temenku yang pernah bobo sekamar sama aku, atau adekku atau kakakku hahaha). Mimpi yang aku ingat biasanya mimpi yang cukup unik, entah itu Godzilla (sumpeh ini aku mimpiin godzilla sampe 2 kali), atau someone yang tumben-tumbenan once in a while muncul entah dengan manisnya, atau, yah, manisnya aja gitu. hahahaha /shy/ /epret/

Kalau ini yang dimaksud mimpi what i want to be in the next few years, actually when in Telkom Corpu days while i was get to make a roadmap for what i wanna be, it made me think that dream was something to fight for. Something we want to be, want to have, in order to stay happy. My ideal kind of happiness (?). Because my dream was not the same with my friends’. Jadi aku attach aja ya disini apa roadmapnya, dan mungkin akan aku deskripsikan.

Simpel sih hahaha yagasi~

Dalam 5 tahun ini, as a girl and my needs to be loved hahahahahahaha *sebenernya geli nulis begini*, sebenernya inginnya adalah get married, and having a little boy sebagai pelengkap hahaha. Dan aku pengen banget coba parasailing, entah itu habis itu aku jadi paranoid atau engga, but i just want to try that once in my whole lifetime. Dan pengen banget Asia Tour, seenggaknya 3 negara deh. Ke Arab (buat umroh), ke Korea (hahahaha ini mah pengen pisan /plakk/) sama ke... satunya ini manapun deh. (Pengennya sih Jepang, tapi ini terlalu muluk, bantu doakan ya gengs~)

Lalu dalam 10 tahun ini, aku pengen banget going to the next level. Getting my master degree as “MBA” student #asyique. Dan dilanjutkan Europe tour (mungkin pake uang bonus tahunan #kelakuan), ngga sendiri ya tapi, ber5 dongggssss B). Berada di posisi Band 4 di kantor yang sekarang sedang dijalani, NAIK HAJI! *pengennya pas masih di umur segini sih, doakan saja~ Pengen juga jadi fixed donor untuk Middle East Refugee, dan nyobain Bungee Jumping, tapi berdua sama si Uda Ganteng :p. Tauk dah dia takut apa engga. Akupun gatau diriku cukup berani atau engga.

Dan di dalam 20 tahun ini, aku ingin banget living a happy and fulfilling life. Even aku tau pasti bakal banya rintangan ini dan itu, semoga aku bisa hadapi dan menjadi lebih bijaksana karenanya. Tetep perlu tour, hahaha dan kali ini ke Benua yang belum didatangi, America dan Aussie (kalo bisa New Zealand juga :p), Ah aku baru sadar Africa belum. Mungkin juga harus masuk list yaaa. Aku berharap aku menjadi ibunda yang cukup baik dan keep learning untuk menemani anak-anakku yang lucu itu, dan memulai bisnis yang kemungkinan adalah di bidang property. Dan inginnya jadi Band 2, entah itu GM atau Head of Division, sebenernya any division is fine, as long as i can do well and never give up finding for solution~

Yaps, mimpi. Mungkin mimpi duniawiku seperti itu. Dan semoga tetep bisa mengantarkan aku ke akhirat dengan lebih baik, and i always hoping that i will listen more, seeing any problem from all sides, becoming wiser and better and more religious, do good deeds, no more complaining but solutive person.

Tapi sebenernya, happiness itu bisa dicari dimanapun kamu mau kok. Even kadang plan didn’t going well as you wish, but if we want to search for happiness in the whole process on how far we’ve become, we will.

exploration MUSICAL INSTRUMENT 1: An attmept at layout design and blending between greyscale and colour. A note on using the Effects menu in Illustrator, hopefully this has changed since, but when I did this, effects had to be locked in before shapes could be edited further by rasterising the effect layers, this had the unfortunate result of making certain aspects of those layers no longer editable.
