“Hey Captain, can we-” Fives burst into Rex’s barrack room, not even bothering to knock, and when both you and Rex sat up with matching sleepy expressions on your faces (it was the middle of the night after all), the ARC Trooper stopped in his tracks. 

“I didn’t mean to- I wasn’t trying-” Fives sputtered, turning around and bolting out of the room.

You looked over at Rex. “Should we worry what that was about?” 

Tiredly, he shook his head. “Probably, but I really just want to go back to bed.” 

“We can deal with it in the morning then.”

Peggy was never home when you got back from your shift, it was just the nature of things with her job

but you always tried to start dinner, because you knew that she would eventually be coming back, and that she would be hungry

Peggy was not someone who you trusted to cook (too many almost-fires in your kitchen happened before you figured that out), so she always cleaned up and did the dishes so it was a fair trade

one day, your work had been particularly rough, so you ended up collapsing on the couch almost as soon as you walked in

and of course, it was easy to fall asleep like that

when you finally woke up, the sun had completely set and you had no idea what time it was, but there was a blanket covering your body that you definitely hadn't put there.

and you could smell food, so you knew Peggy was home

She was in the kitchen, and she smiled when she saw you walk in, your expression probably still bleary

There was a bag on the counter that no doubt held the food you had smelled, because she was setting the table, not cooking.

"I saw you had fallen asleep on the couch, so I just ordered something for dinner."

"What did you get?" you asked as you sat down, Peggy passing you a container.

"Your favorite."

You couldn't help the smile that crossed your face when you opened the container and found that she had been right.

The two of you spent dinner time just talking about your different co-workers and making plans for another date night the next time Peggy had a day off.

It seemed that today had been tiring for her too, so the food was a much-needed pick me up for both of you.

When it was time to get ready for bed, you couldn't help but cuddle up next to your girlfriend and place small kisses on her lips, cheek, and neck

"I love you. So much," you said, and you watched as her expression grew softer (as if that was even possible).

"I love you too," she said, and soon the two of you were fast asleep, curled up together under the covers.

When you stepped into Fox’s office to see him slumped over on the desk, you immediately stopped in your tracks. The tension and worry that was usually so present on the commander’s face was nowhere to be found, making him look so much younger and more peaceful. 

You knew you had a blanket stashed in your office, so you wordlessly slipped out and grabbed it, gently laying the soft throw over Fox’s sleeping form. He shifted slightly as you stepped back towards the door, but thankfully didn’t wake. 

You just smiled and returned to your work. Official reports could wait.

🦀 Hondo Ohnaka meeting the Bad Batch including Omega (no reader)!!!

i LOVE this idea and i was just thinking about how funny it would be to see hondo in tbb s2 so thank you for the prompt!!

the bad batch are working a job for Cid where they have to steal recover something and they run into Hondo and his crew.

Echo immediately knows who he is once he starts talking, because the story of when Anakin and Obi-Wan got drunk and kidnapped spread like wildfire in the 501st and 212th.

Hondo asks if they know Obi-Wan or Anakin, starts talking about how they were the bane of his existence but also that Obi-Wan was his best friend. He's a little confused that they're clones and they don't look alike.

From the way that he interacted with the one Jedi youngling in the Clone Wars it's clear that Hondo has a little soft spot for kids, and he has taken a shine to Omega (laughing and saying that "this one is clearly the most accomplished among you" when she shoots something with her bow)

Hunter is wary of him because of the way he keeps trying to convince Omega to join him and leave the batch.

They're after different things on this job (thankfully), but they have to work together because whoever they're stealing from obviously isn't going to just let people take his stuff.

Hondo tries to fly the Marauder, and Tech freaks out a little (which in turn makes Wrecker laugh).

He tries to steal something from the ship before he leaves, but Hunter catches him and he reluctantly hands it back.

Echo later tells Rex about the encounter, and the two of them get to tell the rest of the batch the sotry about when Anakin and Obi-Wan got drunk and handcuffed to Dooku (they all find it hilarious)

You had just stepped outside to admire the beauty of the snow that had fallen last night when a cold clump of it hit you in the face, making your shirt all cold and wet. Your girlfriend stood about ten feet away, unable to contain her laughter as she held another snowball.

“Two can play at this game!” you shouted, laughing.

Dodging the projectiles launched your way, you scrambled to make ammunition of your own, and your laughter was infectious as you launched them at Wanda. No longer tired from just waking up, you now had one goal: to win.

this morning i noticed that i had over 2.5k followers, and that number floored me so much that i had to try and keep myself composed. thank you to everyone who has followed me, it really means a lot! as a little celebration, i'm going to do a sleepover, and it will run from now until tuesday, january 10th :)

🌊 what’s an unpopular opinion you have?

okay so my kind of basic one is that i don't like avocados because they have a weird texture but my fanfic unpopular opinion is that not everything needs to have a "perfect" ending, and that unhappy/open to interpretation/more hopeful than explicitly happy endings are just as valid as the ones that end in a picturesque kiss between the characters.

🌊 what was your favorite movie of 2022? Like if you had to pick movie of the year what would it be?

it's a little embarrassing to say but i think i've only seen two movies that came out this year (multiverse of madness and the bubble), so i'd probably have to go with multiverse :) i enjoyed both of them though, and i have many 2022 movies on my list to watch this year!

🌊 so I wanted to say that I absolutely adore all of your fics. I’m a fellow asexual and your fics are my go to. I’ve found a lot more recently that a lot of fics have become increasingly more explicit and I love that I know I can come to your blog and read every single fic. I got a nasty cold not too long ago and just binged your entire master list. I’m sorry to say that you’re going to be stuck with me for a long time. - Curious Curios

i have definitely also noticed the increase in explicit fics!! from the start of me getting on here i kind of always knew that if i wanted to read something it was more than likely i'd have to write it myself, so i am happy to provide a place for those who are like me and like to stay far away from the explicit stuff <3

🐠 top 5 animals you’d find in an aquarium

🥺🥺 this was so hard to pick because i love so many types of sea creatures, but here are my final choices!!

lobsters - my favorite animal!! i have a few plush ones and i affectionately call them "the lobster council," and i also have lobster earrings that i love <3

manta rays - they are so beautiful and i love watching them swim

crabs - i'm a big fan of crustaceans and crabs are evolutionary geniuses so they are wonderful

turtles - i also like to watch them swim and they are very majestic

clownfish - finding nemo had a very large impact on me as a child and i had several clownfish plushies (that i named nemo)

🐳 - "director's cut" for any of my fics:

the source of the idea was a request, and i love a good coffee shop fic so i was immediately game

it was also the first time i had written for clint at all

i spent an embarrassingly long time picking out a coffee-themed title

and an even longer time looking for a blank coffee shop image i liked for the banner

my favorite little detail of the fic was just a throwaway line from the flashback ("I haven’t seen any of the others stop in the entire time I’ve worked here, even though Marni swears Thor winked at her one day.”)

i tend to avoid dual povs in fics that are just oneshots, but i think in this case it worked really well

🌊 do you like reading fics in 1st, 2nd or 3rd person the best?

i'm someone that doesn't really care that much about the point of view a story is in! i do think i like second person the best for xreader fics, but there have been many fics in first and third person i enjoyed that i would say there's not too much of a gap between first/third person and second!

what i do tend to take into account though (and maybe some others do this too) is the tense of a fic. i will always prefer past tense writing to present tense writing, i just think it flows and reads nicer. that's not to say that there hasn't been present tense fics i've enjoyed, but i just personally think past tense is better. others may feel completely differently/prefer present tense and that's ok too!
