We as a fandom don’t do enough with how silly every single martial god is, so much so that they have “classic” behaviors like breaking stuff as their first solution to a lock, complimenting the opponent’s sick martial skills even if they’re in mortal danger, or the constant insatiable urge to prove their strength. Xie Lian is like, the worst offender of this too. I always think about that part during the black water arc when Pei Ming, iconic top martial god and Extremely Strong guy with a ton of spiritual power at his disposal, said the ship’s rudder won’t budge and Xie Lian’s first reaction was “oh, what?” and to go verify with his own strength that the rudder is, in fact, stuck. He had zero reason to distrust Pei Ming’s conclusion or strength but he just had to check himself.
Anyways kissing is cool or whatever but have you ever considered all the martial gods versus the pickle jar that’s cursed closed forever? Unstoppable force (martial god desire to conquer every test of strength) versus immovable object (jar that can’t be opened). What shatters first, their spirits or the jar? More shenanigans like this, please. Now go wild

Spec evo Vault, Ocean Flish
An iconic future critter, the Ocean Flish from The Future is Wild stands remarkable of this documentary most featured animals, these constitute a bizarre new radiation of vertebrates from the ocean after tetrapods were wipe out of the face of earth, becoming one of the many recovering animals on 200 million years hence.
Tumblr media
This inhabits the coastal regions of the new supercontinent, thanks to the environment lack of competitors that were wiped out 100 million years before with no other trace of land tetrapods left, the sky was basically open for this clade of fish to take over in the last millions of years, being this one of many representatives of a larger group that have diversified across the coasts of the Global ocean and inside parts of the main continent.
Tumblr media
According to the canon of the documentary, flishes are descendant of cods, or at least they come from a branch that diverged from cods a time ago that after the mass extinction recolonized the surface and upon the vacuum they developed the ability to fly thanks to strong wings derived of their pectoral fins.
Unlike tetrapods wings, the flish arm anatomy evolved in a way totally divergent in structure, having a short very muscular arm made of three main bones joined in a way that provides a stable and strong base, as well providing great flexibility while flapping and lift enough to fly.
Tumblr media
In a general view the anatomy of this animal is remarkable for preserve the Actinopterygii shape with high derived features such as the almost lobed fish like fins, the jawcaps and the strange horizontal fluke instead of the vertical posture of current fishes as well other external features include the lack of any operculum totally sealed, an spiracle upper head that might be related to pulmonar respiration and the most remarkable feature, it extendable jaw.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This peculiar jaw configuration supposedly help them in their method of hunting as these are dipping predators of the pelagic silverswimmers, having the only feature of Actinopterygii developed further with a very extendable mouth with only 2 rows of 3 teeth on the tip.
Although the documentary didn't expose more about their behavior or lifestyle outside of hunting, the main manga did some minor exploration of their land behavior being there showing that they raise their children like altricial seabirds, as well showing that they are capable to stand on land with their pectoral fins up and extended without any folding capability.
Tumblr media
As said before, is well known that this animal also has a relative on the forest regions on the north west region of Pangea II but on base of the book description, there may be also a really larger diversity of these derived flying vertebrates covering different niches similar to modern birds, specified by the mentions of comparable analogues of birds.
Tumblr media
Probably to add more about this fact on the conference made of the doc (included in the DVD extras) Dixon exposed some concept ideas of more flishes or at least different flish color pattern configurated to specific ecological niches based again on birds.

"nanobots" the song is this deconstructed view of child development and parenthood where it's like, 'wow have you ever thought about how weird producing offspring is. like, it's weird, right! we make these little people and they quickly grow into their own individual personalities with their own lives and autonomy and I've lost all authority and there's so many and you've gotta be responsible for them all the time, what did I do !!!'
but as well as approaching it with this slightly overwhelmed perspective, there's a sort of affectionate optimism in there, too. that even tho the concept's intimidating, there's a sense of wonder in how humans develop and raising them and watching them grow up. hey this kid thing's fun actually, yeah I wish they'd leave me alone sometimes, but look at how cute and resilient they are look at what they can do. and then "replicant" is like jesus parenting a teenager is hard.

Yeah... I remember seeing the architectural design majors at my uni having this breakdown each semester...
#love in the air#lita#rain#scriptwriting was the only course within my major famous for making people openly cry#because the professor would eviscerate you with her feedback#not to be mean; but she would look at the feedback you'd already been given by your classmates over and over throughout the course#and if you still hadn't fixed issues she'd really stab into them and rip you apart#she liked me though- i followed the syllabus due dates and no one else did#meaning day 1 i already had a treatment ready by the first class#and even though she told me the syllabus schedule didn't need to be followed; i chose to follow it#because it kept me a week ahead or so#So when I finished each 200+ page draft of my script I was finishing it a week early#which let me focus on other exams in other classes and manage my workload more easily#the only time scriptwriting made me cry was when i spent 6 hours typing draft 6 of a 214 page feature and my computer crashed#erased the whole thing#i'd been typing up the script based on hand notes i'd written on my previous draft so it was easy to recreate#but redoing it took 8 hours since my hands were so tired#but that wasn't the classes fault; that was my fault#i did really well in the class; you just can't take feedback personally and a lot of writers really struggle with that#i've lost so many friends because they claim to be writers who take feedback seriously#and then it turns out they're little bitches about it and throw tantrums after begging me to give them feedback#so now I will not give a friend feedback on anything they write#for the record- the way i was trained is not to be cruel or mean#you literally just go through it like 'here is what I had issues with as a viewer and here are some ideas on how to easily fix that'#always offer a solution#and for every complaint you have to give a complementt#so i'm not out there like gordon ramsey ripping into people; it's very gentle and kind#except when i gave M her round 6 feedback on her script and she STILL insisted Mt Everest was 3 billion years old in her story#AT EVERY STAGE OF THIS SCRIPT I REMINDED YOU IT IS AROUND 30 MILLION YEARS OLD GET IT THROUGH YOUR-

anyways wanna hear about what I've been thinking about
#wordstag#Heavily redacted on account of I don't wanna dox myslef#Anyways like yesterday someone was like 'you're prettygood at driving' and I was like. I play a lot of Mario kart. I don't play a lot of#Mario kart that was a flat Lie. Also I hate driving ohhhghhhh my goodod it's like if they made the worst thing ever and if you do bad#Everyone kills you anwyas was thinkingof sending a letter to my friend. But I don't really know how letters work to be real I haven't sent#letter in 5 million years.#next topic was thinking about (not someothonh we would ever do) a gimmicky fundraiser wheee it's like there's goals and at certain#Goals you unlock different things. At 50 bucks we buy [GUY] a new mouse at 100 bucks we make a collectible pin line etc etc#at 200 bucks we do a choreographed dance routine#Next next topic like a bit ago we had an idea to make like#A pet sim but your pet is doomed to die. Pet sim where you outlive your pet#where basically you have a pet yeah and it's like a clicker and you gotta click and upgrade yr clicks ets#all while feeding this pet who's life span is only limited by how much money you make#and it was like. A slow decline yknow. The prices of everything gets higher snd eventually you can't afford to feed your pet yknow#something of a tragedy. You can keep playing but your pet won't be there anymore#and like at some point you don't have time to play with your pet anymore because you need to focus on making money#I told my friend this (golf friend) and she was like. You're insane. Horribly crudeidea but that was also the point?#What message about society or whatever the shit is there? I dontknow bro.#there r two endings one ending where your pet dies sad and you live on (you have like a taxes you pay rent or some shit#So you loose money and if you can't pay rent you die. Or something like that it isn't that thought through#then the other ending is like everyone dies forever but you died playing with your pet so. Peace and love on planet earth#Anywyas um. I've gotta head to bed man. Or they're gonna Get Me#I don't think I'm going to but. ominous.#dude the computer is loud as fuck are we mining bitcoin or some shit. Is it usually this loud ?????

can we go back to people being allowed to make their "cringe rawr xd doing anime poses on camera" videos without people adding them to cringe compilations and showing a video having harmless fun to thousands of thousands of people. remember when you could do that and literally no one would care. why do we hate other peoples fun. also why do we have to be ableist and fatphobic ontop of it all go explode

i know breaks from writing are necessary and i'm getting better at them but every now and then it just washes over me in a wave of 'but you haven't written seriously in days maybe even a week or two--' as if it's something to feel bad about and not just a natural phase of existing as a writer

hey is it not kind of wild that there was a period of unusual cold in a large chunk of the northern hemisphere spanning from around 1300 to 1850. that is 550 years. it has been less than 200 years since the end of what is sometimes called the “medieval cold period” (when applicable). and with YOUR help. it could happen again

Was thinking about decade nicknames like the Roarin' 20s, Dirty 30s etc and for a moment got weirdly emotional over the fact that the 90s were called the Wild 90s/the Free 90s here

on more than one occasion i have seen people accidentally write "taangus" instead of "taagnus" and nearly had a heart attack before reading the rest of the post/tags and realizing that it was just a typo, and they were shipping taako with magnus, not angus

there still seem to be too many mature galaxies too early in the history of the universe. it’s not as big a problem for modern physics as, like, the predicted size of the cosmological constant, but it is a problem, and one that gets bigger the further back in time we can look.
