arthur pendragon is obviously the fastest i have ever 180′d on anything in my life. i went from hating his guts and eagerly awaiting his death to apologizing for all his war crimes in the span of 45 minutes

susie from deltarune was like...during her first appearance she genuinely scared me and made me angry and then by the end i was fully prepared to lay down my life for her

similarly groose from skyward sword. i think that’s a big part of why i love him so much bc he got to change so much and he REALLY surprised me...it’s one thing when a character like zuko gets a redemption arc and you know it’s coming and you love them the whole way thru...but when it surprises even you as part of the audience that ur feelings could change...really gets me

when i started playing dragon age i thought cullen was like THE skeeviest possible dude and i didn’t want a thing to do with him and somebody here on tunglr dot org sent me an ask like...just wait. just wait. and lo and behold i am now literally incapable of romancing anyone else

snow from ff13 started as one of my least favorite characters and EVERY time lightning punched him i cheered (ok i still do that) but by the time we get to the third game in the trilogy he is honestly my fav next to lightning herself. he gets so much development, he is so good... 

i know it’s only 5 but honorable mention time i called rex from tcw a ***** during the umbara arc when he wouldn’t stand up to krell and then i took it back later when he did. he’s a good boy and i’ll never call him any bad words ever again
