See No Evil, Read No Evil: Salvador and the Underreported World of Small State Actors
See No Evil, Read No Evil: Salvador and the Underreported World of Small State Actors
According to a report from Reporters Without Borders, in its annual report, El Salvador had fallen in ranking from 135 to 180.  The massive fall indicated a massive 41point defferece drom 2024, elsalvador.com reported.  The report comes on the heels of the president rejecting US requests to return a wrongly deported man, AP News reports.
The ratnkings fall, according to the report comes as Salvadorean leadership is increasingly under pressure by civil society veins and the press critical of methods and means concerning crime and ither societal factors.  RSF (Reporteras Sin Fronteras) Latin America has noted that accepted deportations from the US, lack transparency in its accountability to the Salvadorean people.  Press are unable to adequately inform the population on the details of a major unflux into their prison population and nation.
In recent times Salvador had marketed itself as a prime destination for tourists and digital nomads.  Increasingly, authoritarian states involved in dubious practice with their citizens or in proxy wars have been advertised to unsuspecting tourists as go-to destinations.  Without the freedom of local press to tell the real story, many visitors may upend their life to find themselves in brutal military strongholds or in regions of genocide and ethnic cleansing.
The Palestinian-Origin Salvadorean president has been keen to ensure that gangs come under tight scrutiny in recent times.  Salvador, like many Latin American nations have struggled to have their own foreign policy separate from the regional hegemon.  Apart from its colonial and regional wars, in 1979 the US Carter administration leveraged a regime change against its military leader.  That regime had been in power since 1931 and had been supported by the US until it lost relevance to current interests, and the JRG or Revolutionary Government Junta was installed.  The people suffered.
Salvadoreans have had to live under foreign backed tyranny for more than half a century,  which has ensured poverty and slow reform.  States like El-Salvador that have existed for so long without sovereignty or autonomy rightly question new developments from its pro-West president.  Just recently, the Salvadorean president was in the United States making a deal, Reuters reported.
However few understand that these militarized hot spots offered as safe havens for Western tourists. Sporting events, and internatiinal meeting nodes, are often repressive strongholds locking citizens away in slums and shanty towns under threat of violence.  A key missive in the evolution of the El Salvadorean political landscape, was its very influential colonial class oligarchy.  This coterie of business, financial and land holders weighed heavily on a politic that splintered the state.   Doubtless the current Salvadorean leadership emerges from this oligarchy.  The current president is the son of a massively successful Palestinian-origin businessman and religious leader.
Salvador presents a disturbing picture of autonomy lost.  It is not unlike the contingencies playing out in central Africa, West Asia and even Southeast Asia.  It is estimated that by late 1970, government contracted "death squads" or paramilitary groups were killing 10 people per day in El Salvafor with thousands of active and part-time militia, with more than one US-sponsored junta active in the fray to secure Salvador.  It was a melee of epic proportion which underscores the colonial roots of leadership in Latin American states that trounce the aspirations of its local indigenous and mestizo peoples.
The fact is that small states like El Salvador are often left to the wiles of international intelopers that defeat local populations.  The greatest loss in such political and military contests are not the power brokers and leaders, but the decades of lost life, liberty and livelihood of local people.  These retard modernization and the socioeconomic role they could play in the world.  These small states are often targetted as regional strongholds because they lack true regional support and power.
El Salvador even faught a war with its neighbor over its people squatting on Honduran land, in search of stability as well as safety from social politics.  This scenario plays out over and over without remedy in small developing states.  It will likely play out in contingencies with Ukraine, Poland and Germany and other less fortified states. It is possible these European regions regions may devolve into a gangland itself, as arms and discontent flood the region.  Salvador has been destabilized over and over at the behest of foreign interests and also its self-interested oligarchs making the state a hotbed of crime and human misery. The gangs are likely an offshoot of the proxies, militias and juntas of the past.
Salvador has a population of 6 million, according to local 2024 census, which has endured decades of unspeakable crimes against humanity.  It serves as a cautionary tale for Ukraine, Taiwan and Malaysia, and a confirmation of the multi-decade foreign-backed ethnic cleansing in the Congo and and the Levant.  The markers of external manipulation and destabilization are easy to recognize.   As such, it does beg the question as to why there remains no adequate regional mechanisms or civil society bodies to help relieve the human suffering.
Noting the markers of destabilization and extra-state manipulation is easy. However the world must come to terms with the collective loss of civility and life as such contingencies continue to spin out of control.   Pakistan offers an excellent example of an admitted terror state sponsored by Western powers at the expense and devestation of others,  RT News reports.  Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan was castigated for admitting to these methods, as well as the US infuence in the state.  But recent revelations have proven that the Rules Based Order has been undergirded by terror networks and cells.
The world suffers for looking the other, way when small states are abused and forced to act as proxies by oligarchs or misguided political players. What is Salvador's press trying to tell the world and its constituents about the state of its nation?  When the media goes silent, the population is left naked to the wills of a state externally controlled by self interested raider nations.  Essentially, a human tragedy.  The world must change its protocol on small or highly vulnerable states, because as with Pakistan, the world may also have to suffer for turning a blind eye.

10+ Gorgeous Flamingo Pics To Celebrate Pink Flamingo Day
10+ Gorgeous Flamingo Pics To Celebrate Pink Flamingo Day
Pink Flamingo Day was declared in 2007 by Dean Mazzaralla, the mayor of Leominster, MA to honor the work of Don Featherstone, creator of the plastic lawn flamingo.
Don Featherstone created the iconic piece in 1957 while working for Union Products. He based his design on photographs of flamingos from National Geographic because he was unable to get real flamingos to use as models. In 1996,…

Bundesliga Betting: Dortmund to turn the Ruhr from blue to yellow
(New post on FreeBetAlerts.com) - https://freebetalerts.com/2018/12/07/bundesliga-betting-dortmund-to-turn-the-ruhr-from-blue-to-yellow/ #Football, #Freebets, #Tips
Bundesliga Betting: Dortmund to turn the Ruhr from blue to yellow Please share.
This weekend’s Bundesliga action includes one of the biggest derbies in world football, and . believes Borussia Dortmund will come out on top.
Royal Blue pride to suffer another blowSchalke v Borussia DortmundSaturday 08 December, 14:30Live on Betfair Live VideoI have rarely heard a noise like the one that greeted Naldo’s stunning free-kick in last season’s 2-0 win for Schalke against Borussia Dortmund. Having already made history by recovering from a 4-0 deficit to draw 4-4 at Signal Iduna Park (Naldo scored the final goal in that one), Schalke were able to deservedly beat their old rivals. As coach Domenico Tedesco celebrated amongst the ultras, megaphone in hand, it felt like there had been a shift of power in the Ruhr. That transfer of sovereignty has proven to be illusory. While BVB have roared clear of the pack under new boss Lucien Favre, Tedesco’s brave new dawn in Gelsenkirchen has dimmed. Schalke have qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League, but their Bundesliga campaign has been a disaster. They lost their first five league games, and despite a recent revival they are still ten points adrift of the top four. Now the unbeaten league leaders come to town, a team that has won eight of its last nine Bundesliga matches, including a 3-2 victory over Bayern in Der Klassiker. Marco Reus and Jadon Sancho have sparkled in attack, Paco Alcacer has proven to be the ultimate supersub (nine of his ten league goals have come off the bench), and Axel Witsel is currently the league’s best midfielder. I still have reservations about the team’s defending and the reliability of goalkeeper Roman Burki, but when you have an attack as consistent as Dortmund’s (37 goals and counting) that’s less of an issue.Schalke will battle and scrap and claw and do everything they can to stop Dortmund winning this, but BVB are playing without fear and they are playing with the swagger of potential champions. Schalke are without injured strikers Mark Uth and Breel Embolo, and they have already lost three of their six Bundesliga home matches. At [2.22], Dortmund are good a price to pass up.Bayern to make a statement in Bavarian derbyBayern Munich v NurnbergSaturday 08 December, 14:30Live on Betfair Live VideoBayern are still nine points adrift of Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund, and are therefore in “crisis mode”, but at least they have put back-to-back wins together. Embattled coach Niko Kovac made some tactical tweaks at the Weserstadion in a 2-1 victory over Werder Bremen, including pairing Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka in central midfield, in what the Germans would call a “double six.”Bayern shouldn’t have to be so circumspect against Nurnberg this weekend. Der Club have been smashed 5-2 at Schalke, 6-0 at RB Leipzig and 7-0 at Borussia Dortmund. They seem incapable of keeping things tight, and goalkeeper Fabian Bredlow’s form has been disastrous.Bayern should score plenty of goals here, and I’m surprised to see Over 3.5 Goals trading at [1.81]. That bet has paid out in three of Bayern’s last four matches in all competitions, and that’s the way I’m headed this weekend.Gladbach to extend Rhineland runBorussia Monchengladbach v StuttgartSunday 09 December, 17:00Live on BT Sport 1 and Betfair Live VideoBorussia Monchengladbach had a big test of their title credentials last weekend, and they failed it, losing 2-0 at RB Leipzig. The one thing you never want to do against one of the best counter-attacking teams in Europe is fall behind early and have to chase the game, but the concession of a goal inside three minutes gave the Foals a mountain to climb, and they never left base camp. Now they are back on home soil, they should have an easier time. The Foals have won all of their Bundesliga home matches this season, and the last four of those victories was by a margin of two goals or greater. When they hammered Hannover 4-1 a fortnight ago, they played some stunning football.Stuttgart have been battling the drop from the start of the season, and although they have won two of their last three games, Markus Weinzierl’s team is still well short of where it needs to be. They lost their last away game 2-0 at Bayer Leverkusen, and there were also recent defeats to Hoffenheim (4-0), Eintracht Frankfurt (3-0) and Borussia Dortmund (4-0). This group of players has been regularly outclassed this term, and I don’t see why that won’t happen on Sunday.
