Her sene en az bir kez Claude Lelouch'un Rendezvous filmini YouTube'dan açar izlerim. Buraya filmin direkt linkini koymadım, sürekli teliften dolayı kaldırılıyor. Onun yerine bu kısa filmi anlatan, analiz eden, hakkında bilinen kısıtlı bilgileri paylaşan bir video paylaştım.

Otomobillere, yarışlara, kaçma kovalama sahneleriyle dolu filmlere meraklı olanlar için çok özel bir film Rendezvous. Bir Ağustos sabahında sabah 05.30'da gün aydınlanırken Paris'te çekilmiş 8 dakikalık bir kısa film. Filmi açın ve Ferrari 275GTB'nin sesiyle Paris'in sokaklarında çekilmiş en çılgın görüntüleri izleyin. Ancak burada ufak bir ayrıntı var, motor sesi bir Ferrari'ye ait olsa da filmde kullanılan araç aslında bir Mercedes-Benz 450SEL 6.9. Bu filmin 1976'dan sonra çekilmiş filmlerde kaçma kovama ve hız sahnelerine ilham verdiğine eminim. Film yayınlandığında 17 yaşında olan Luc Besson'un rüyalarına bile girdiğini tahmin ediyorum.

Filme dair sevdiğim güncel detay ise çok sevdiğim John Wick serisinin dördüncü filmi olan John Wick: Chapter 4'teki final sahnesindeki düello'nun gerçekleştği Sacré-Cœur'ün bu filmin de final sahnesindeki buluşma mekanı olması. Buradan şunu anlıyoruz ki, Sacré-Cœur'a normal bir şekilde giden yok.

 Mercedes-Benz S-Class range represents the pinnacle in automotive excellence, the “S” designation being German for “Sonderklasse” or “Special Class” and the W116 Series 450SEL 6.9 undoubtedly represents the summit atop that pinnacle of German Motoring Excellence.

  Based on the W116 450SEL Chassis (SEL = Long Wheelbase S-Class) with its lavishly appointed interior, hand finished in Zebrano Wood & Chrome Trim. The “6.9″ part is where the Powerhouse comes into play. Driving this already impressive chassis (as seen on the standard 450SEL W116) is what became a byword for Mercedes premium quality, cutting edge automotive technology; The 6.834L, 3 Speed Auto, M100 V8, SOHC engine. It was the largest no-US engine built since WWII but the technology didn’t stop at pure grunt, as well as the ride being softened by Mercedes legendary Hydropneumatic “Self-leveling” Suspension, it was also among the first vehicles ever produced with optional electronically controlled anti-lock brakes, first introduced by Mercedes-Benz and Bosch in 1978 and to top it all off, it also featured Mercedes Electro-mechanical K-Jetronic, Naturally Aspirated Direct Fuel Injection (the “E” in “SEL”).
