Another feather in Tron [TRX]’s cap with BitMEX futures announced!

BitMEX, the exchange known for short trading through futures for up to 100x Leverage, has recently announced a Tron [TRX] futures contract. The blog post on the BitMEX official blog says:

“Due to popular demand, we will be listing the BitMEX TRON / Bitcoin 28 September 2018 futures contract, TRXU18, on or before 26 June 2018 08:30 UTC.”

The exchange also recently added quarterly futures contracts for Ripple’s XRP token, Cardano [ADA], Bitcoin Cash [BCH], EOS [EOS], and Ethereum [ETH] in addition to pre-existing BTC contracts.

Tron had an event-filled day as Justin Sun went on the longest Tron live stream till date. On the occasion of Tron’s Independence Day, Tron also recently began burning 1 billion TRX tokens. This will also decrease the inflation and may increase the price of the coin due to reduced supply.

On the live stream, Tron Foundation also gave an introduction for some of the Super Representatives on the Tron blockchain. The SR candidates present there were Gifto, a decentralized universal gifting platform, and Digital Assets Group, a blockchain digital asset business.

The futures contract allows users to leverage a set amount of cryptocurrency to trade them for up to 100x the leverage set by the user. This allows for “shorting” or “short” trading, where traders can make profits off declining prices. This is generally looked down upon in the crypto-community, as it is referred to as gambling or betting.
