Which surge protector for HVAC condensers?

Hello wielders of power,

I have 4 individual 9000 btu ductless mini split systems running on 230v. Each one is on a dedicated 30 amp breaker. Recently one of the boards on one of the machines got fried when the wind blew a tree branch into the line at the pole. Replacement part is $1000 and the way the tree trimming went, I figure it'll happen again within the next 5 years. My HVAC guy said he just replaced a similar system due to a loose neutral wire at the panel. Since the parts and labor on these cost a lot of money, I'd like some insurance.

This company makes two models of surge protector that look like they'd work. I'm not an electrician so I can't tell whether the cheaper ones will work or if I need the fancy ones. The one with the nice interface (DTK-KG2) is $200 and the other one is $60. Appreciate the help.
