Previous LS Fest Grand Champion winner Josh Leisinger and his teammate Tim Molzen teamed up to earn another pair of Grand Champion titles, at the 2023 LS Fest Texas competition at Texas Motor Speedway, in Fort Worth, Texas, on the weekend of May 19-21.
Josh dominated the Vintage class, in his highly-prepared Summit Racing & Lucas Oil-sponsored 1964 Chevrolet Corvette on Forgeline one piece forged monoblock GS1R wheels. His performances included first place finishes in the Autocross, TrackX, 3S (speed/steer/stop) Challenge, and the no-prep 1/8th mile Drag Race portions of the event. Josh set the quickest overall times in the Autocross, 3S Challenge, and the 1/8th mile Drag race, regardless of class. And he earned a perfect score in the Vintage Class, earning 300 out of 300 possible points.
Josh’s teammate, Tim Molzen, won the Grand Champion title in the Late Model class, driving his “Crusher III" Summit Racing Equipment 1997 Corvette on Forgeline one piece forged monoblock GS1R wheels. Tim came pretty close to a perfect score in the Late Model class, earning 295 out of 300 possible points.
Congrats to Josh and Tim for their successful weekend at 2023 LS Fest Texas. And thanks for trusting Forgeline to help carry you to victory!
