Source: My deprived brain about three weeks ago, this was originally going in as the moment Rin and Jakoby confessed but I felt it was too early in their relationship but heaven forbid I don’t finish writing it and show you guys! ;D

They’re at a monthly fogteeth party for New Years Eve, laughing, drinking and dancing with Ward and Jakoby and her friends when suddenly Ward decides to try and play drunk cupid...

"Nick you gonna thank me for this later" I barely hear Wards voice before Jakoby curses in Orcish and feel someone stumbling into me, pushing me toward the mosh. I get a glance at Wards face and he’s clearly saying Oh shit as I end up grabbing onto someone on the outskirts for support. Unfortunately that’s enough to get mixed in when this someone twists to elbow me in the face, pulling me into the pit. I'm caught by the bicep by a person with the biggest hands I'd ever felt before and set on my feet just before you're shoved aside a moment later.

I'm quickly reminded that the mosh is no place for a tiny mermaid woman.

I’m pushed farther into the mosh, dodging elbows and punches as I try to find a way out.

I hear Jakoby vaguely calling my name so I raise a hand for him to see and wave, instantly I see his hand raise up and him point toward the wall. I give him a thumbs up and go to meet him. Just as I think I'll get there unscathed a man tackles me into the wall just as I reach the edge, I let out a grunt of pain and knee him in the face in retaliation as I fall to the ground.

Stars dance for a moment in front of my eyes as I hear him laugh good naturedly and goes back into the crowd with a bloody powdery nose, I push to my feet unsteadily. Just glad to be out of the mosh until I look up to see an Orc a foot taller than me and four times my size falling toward me.

I gasp and flatten against the wall, crossing my arms in front of my face and bracing as I feel the concussion of air. Though suddenly I feel a solid mass wrap gently around me and hear a grunt that can only be from Nick. When my eyes fly open to look up I find that he's staring down at me, his gold eyes wide with concern.

"Are you alright Rin?" He questions me, concern lacing his tone as he shouts over the music and the people, a bellowing laugh from the floor behind Jakoby vaguely reaches me but I can't rip my eyes from his. He's braced himself on his forearms against the wall at either side of my shoulders, his are hunched around me in order to take the full hit and I blink in shock. The orc who’d been leaning drunkenly against Jakoby's knees stands, towering over both of us and looking down at him in confusion until he tilts his head and sees little me beneath him.

"Good looking out for ya lady!” He tells him, clapping him on the back as he gets back into the mosh with a superman punch that lands on the jaw of one of the two guffawing orcs who'd shoved him into me. . "Rin?" Jakoby prompts me to answer him this time more worried that I haven't been able to process how impossibly strong he'd have to be to take that kind of hit. Sometimes I forget he's an Orc but even for an Orc that's impressive and I remember how he told me he trains every day for the humungous criminals that are out there. "Ye-Yeah, I should be asking if you're okay! Oh my god! Did you crack the wall?" I laugh as I ask this, looking to his hands on either side and seeing the spidering cracks traversing in the concrete from his elbows and forearms.

"Eh, old tunnel, probably does that all the time" He tells me humbly and I chuckle, still looking up at him as though I'm expecting him to drop in pain at any moment. I relax my arms against his collarbone and smile as he shifts, moving his legs from where he'd braced his knees against the walls next to mine as well though he doesn't remove his arms. Now standing more comfortably but not moving back from me. I notice spider cracks there too at his knees and he chuckles. "It'll take a lot more than that to take me out. Trust me"

It's at this moment when I look back into his eyes and smile that I notice just how incredibly close we are. Along with how warm he is, and how comfortable I feel despite being this close. Then my thoughts drift back to the vision I had in the pool and feel my face flush.

Could this be the moments leading up to it? my eyes drift to his lips briefly with the thought, excitement tingling down my spine. I notice that as I look back up his eyes were also trained on the features of my face. I shiver lightly, remembering the vividness of my vision and swallowing hard. I don't even realize that I'm stuck in my own world until Jakoby brushes his fingertips across my forehead and temple. He moves a stray hair back into place and inches forward just slightly, as though he's just waiting for me to pull away. I tilt my chin up though and his hand turns to cup my face, delving into my hair at the nape. I lean into its warmth and he pulls me into a slow kiss. I let out a small whimper, I didn't even think he heard it over the music that I can no longer hear as I return his kiss just as slowly, pushing forward to press myself against him.

He surprises me suddenly though by pressing me into the wall, head to toe with his body as his arm snakes around my waist. He keeps me in place like this, against him, warm and safe and he kisses me again more passionately. I sigh this time, louder as the contact makes me want more of his warmth. His arm around my waist, his hand gripping my wide, fingers softly kneading my skin and keeping me firmly to him as though he'd been waiting to do this forever and never wanted this kiss to end. I push my hand up and against his neck, cupping the back of his head in turn and keeping him there too. I didn't want this shit to end either.

As he finally pulls away we're both out of breathe and we look each other in the eye. The decision made as he turns and we walk out along the wall, him protecting me from the throng the whole way. As we finally escape it another Orc, our host, steps into our path and Jakoby blinks in shock. I can tell he's suddenly on edge and I feel him pull me ever closer to him. Almost imperceptibly.

"Hey Nick, Just wanted to say that I got no beef with you since the last time we saw each other" the broader Orc tells him almost jovially, he extends a hand and Jakoby hesitates to let go of me, I think briefly that this might insult him but he only laughs. "Hey man I wouldn't want to let go of a fine woman like her neither, how about you go to one of the rooms in the back and have some alone time? I'll make sure no one bothers you"

Jakoby seems to stall but I smile and nod, seizing this most wonderful offer. "Thank you, I think we'll take you up on that won't we Jakoby" I tell him, pulling forward and grasping his hand in both of mine. I interlace our fingers and look him in the eyes, a sultry smile painted on my lips despite my slight nerves. I see something in his eyes go molten as I start to lead him to where the rooms are, past the other Orc and away from the cacophony.

*In the room*

As soon as the door closes he turns me around to face him, his hands mold to my waist as he pulls me into another earth shattering kiss. My hands grasping his face for just a moment as I pull the buttons of his shirt free swiftly and he lowers himself for me to push it off his thickly muscled shoulders without breaking the kiss.

He doesn't straighten until his arms slip around my hips in a vice as the shirt drops to the floor. He lifts me so high on his now bare waist that I can barely reach his lips to kiss him. I feel his hand knead into my hips, thumbs pressing into my lower back and groan, throwing my head back involuntarily.

I hear him growl as he presses his face against my stomach, kissing me through my shirt. His mouth hot, I feel like I'm already naked and right now I just want these clothes to disappear as I wrap my legs around him. He lift his lips, slowly lowering me until I'm almost on my feet and his lips catch my collarbone on their molten trail and then latch onto my neck. He lowers himself slowly to the button, gripping it in his teeth and flicking it open, we both laugh a little as the zipper drops on its own. As though the universe has willed it too with how hot this is and his steaming golden eyes never leave mine as I let him pull them off.

Leaving me in a deep blue and peach lace bra and panties, I feel my heart race as I think of this and turn a darker shade of red.

"So gorgeous.." He tells me under his breath as he closes his eyes and inches his way back up my body, leaving kisses and nips as he goes. "Only if it's weird for me to feel the same way" I tell him with a smile, his eyes light up for a minute and then soften. A smile of his own coming to his lips.

"Well who said being weird was a bad thing anyway?" He declares with a shrug and I laugh pressing myself to him as we both drift off to sleep.

"Where the hell did those two go?" Ward wonders out loud as the party comes to an end at midnight, searching the bar and dance floor for his partner and the woman the Orc had been desperately trying to confess to ever since they met. He took a right down the hall toward the extra rooms, being told that the bartender had seen them talking to Dorghu over here. He heard them laughing just before he reached the door, reaching for the knob. He stopped instantly as he heard his partner speaking lowly.

"No, I want to hear you" He could barely make out the words but he was pretty sure this was what he said.

"Those two are probably playin fuckin charades or somethi-" his grumble ceased as he heard her sudden and unbridled moan, the whimpers that underlined it and he backed up instantly. His hands in the air and face burning at what he almost just walked in on. "Do. Not. need to see that shit"

Ward turns and walks down the hallway again, hands in his pockets as he thinks of his own wife, probably home by now from her shift.
