Oh my goodness… I couldn’t believe that the summer is going to end soon, and it has been whole two months since my dearest son’s event was being left unfinished! So, first, let me deeply apologize to you guys for my super lateness in replying to you all since it’s my fault for not being able to deliver everything on time around June 21st. Recently, I’ve been occupied and also struggles in writing some scenes...

But most of all, so far as Yuuya’s birthday officially comes to a close, I’d love to express my gratitude toward everyone who has been out of their way to make his birthday a precious memory! It literally makes me so happy to see that he is still appreciated and supported by other people too. And as embarrassing as he wouldn’t admit it himself, I’m sure he is no doubt feeling the same! Thereby, thank you all for everything again!

As for the next birthday event of my division, it will be my old man Saigo-san’s in late December. At this point I'm not even sure in my ability to complete everything on time but I still would like to try my best, so please look forward to it…?

The day was winding down into midnight over Nara city, soon drawing the closing curtains to a birthday of the division leader who was now advancing to a bigger step in his life…

The summer blue ramune-flavored jelly cake made by his bestie Asahi was put back into a refrigerator after some slices as his late snack, Yuuya then turned himself around and suddenly noticed a mischievous camera panning at him.

“Eh? Is there any necessity to film this even though my birthday was going to end soon, ANGE?”

He frowned at the camera, followed by the cheerful answer from his resident cyber girl.

“Tee-hee, it couldn’t be ended yet☆ Looks like there has been some kind of formality for the participant to deliver their ending messages at the end of their birthday.” The girl’s voice informed him with a bit of teasing. “So well then, it’s your turn please~?”

“Pft.” Yuuya mildly chuckles. “Alright. Hmm… Let me think about it for a minute.”

Giving Ojou-chan a goodnight headpat, he walked into the living room where the birthday gifts he received all throughout this day were present. A wooden deer was sitting on his shelf alongside the menacingly adorable gadget-holder geese and some pieces of beautiful ornaments like a pair of goldfish earrings and an acorn necklace; near his laundry basket was a properly folded handmade haori as well as on his sofa had the brand-new Platinum ESP FRX CTM FR electric guitar from the famous ‘Bloody Mary’ resting on it with several gifts he got from his friends and acquaintances.

However, Saigo-san, his third team member, didn’t send him any gift this year. But that wasn’t because he was a stingy Scrooge as many love to misunderstand, Yuuya knew that this old man was just not accustomed to casual gifting like normal people do. Therefore, in the end he had settled it with a plan to take him and Hi-chan for a field trip to somewhere this summer instead. The details had yet to be discussed, but the old man did tell him that he wanted this trip to be inspiring for his summer project —There he wanted to chuckle again, for a year to break an ice, finally this old man knew how to chill out! And to confess his utmost honesty... He was quite anticipated about the trip too.

Besides, if things go well enough, he might get a chance to introduce ANGE to him too. Since that old man was the last one in his team who hadn’t known about her and he didn’t want to keep more secrets from his teammates...

Also, it became kinda ridiculous looking back at what had happened ever since he entered the tournament.

At first it all started just because he wanted to find some clues about his long-lost sister and to defend the town he loves from the bad people. But somehow who would have known that there would be a lot of things being kept throwing into his life without a break, both for the things that made his head spin and also the things that brought him an unexpected joy…

Lastly stoping at the door to his father’s room, the now university boy turned to face the camera with a tender smile.

“My birthday hasn’t been this lively for some time ago after my dad left on this very day… And trying to move on from my grief was still something I have to work on, but anyway, it’s all thanks to you guys. Everyone’s kindness had meant so much to me. I’m reminded that I’m not fighting alone anymore, also, it wouldn’t be so bad to try looking forward to a new day again. Therefore, cheers, I wish y’all the best of my regards too.”

And thus, his birthday event had come to an end.

“Geez. For your information, you know, this has already passed midnight and you’ve overworked yourself again!”

“Shh. I know, I know, just a little bit more. My draft for the project’s teaser is almost finished...”  

“Seriously, what kind of person overworking himself on his own birthday?! It has been like this for three days! Even an A.I. like ANGE is aware that a human’s brain needs a proper rest and sleep!”

“…..”

“Neeeee ANGE has no way to know what kind of grandiose or standard you’re striving to reach, but she doesn’t think you need to push yourself too hard... If you need some help, you just need to ask~”

“.............Then, let me ask something. Which place do you aspire to visit the most in this summer?”

“Simple question, obviously the sea!”

“Hmm… Roger that. The sea, alright.”

“Eh? Hold up, why do you ask—”
