Available in driver AMD has added a new metric to its latest driver called System Lag. [caption id="attachment_64705" align="aligncenter" width="780"] AMD[/caption] System Lag is designed to display the delay between the generation of frames by the engine of a particular game and their further rendering by the video card. So far, the metric only works with adapters that support Anti-Lag+, which means that we are talking about video cards and iGPUs based on RDNA 3. That is, these are primarily Radeon RX 7000 adapters. So that gamers can better evaluate latency. AMD introduced the System Lag metric System Lag is the measured delay between the moment a game generates a frame and the GPU finishing rendering. This does not include factors such as display latency, which can be further increased by features such as advanced sync. Additionally, system latency does not take into account the additional latency in generating frames from AMD Fluid Motion Frames. You can use the frame generation latency metric to show this. System latency is only available when Radeon Anti-Lag+ is enabled. For Anti-Lag+ games that support both DirtectX11 and 12, system lag is only available in DirectX 12. With the new metric, AMD wants to let gamers understand how useful the Anti-Lag+ technology that was introduced with FSR 3 is. Let us remind you that Anti-Lag+ is an improved version of Anti-Lag and is designed to synchronize frames to reduce latency. Besides the fact that Anti-Lag+ only works with the latest video cards, it is only available in certain games.

Intel is doing this as part of the IFS initiative Over the past few years, Intel has been pursuing an IFS strategy, which, among other things, involves turning the company into a major manufacturer of semiconductor products for third-party customers. AMD believes that this strategy of their competitor will fail. [caption id="attachment_64487" align="aligncenter" width="600"] AMD[/caption] Executive Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and President of AMD EMEA Darren Grasby said that Intel will not succeed in its initiative. AMD believes that Intel will not succeed as a manufacturer intel went down that path and if you think about AMD's path, many years ago we had our fabs and we decided to go fabless and that was a turning point in the company's history that allowed us to put money into R&D Let us remember that at one time AMD allocated its semiconductor capabilities to a separate company, GlobalFoundries, which in 2012 ceased to be in any way associated with AMD. Since then, AMD has ordered the production of CPUs and GPUs, including from GlobalFoundries, and in recent years has completely switched to TSMC. This also allowed AMD to release the world's first x86-compatible 4-nanometer consumer processors.

There will indeed be a 96-core model in the line AMD slides from the presentation of Ryzen Threadripper Pro 7000 processors have leaked online. And thanks to them, we now know that these CPUs will hit the market before the end of autumn.  [caption id="attachment_57115" align="aligncenter" width="481"] AMD's[/caption] The new CPUs will bring a 20% increase in performance relative to their predecessors. In this case, apparently, we mean single-threaded performance.   AMD's new 96-core monster destroys its competitor. Moreover, it has now been confirmed that the top model will indeed have 96 cores, like its sister flagship from the Epyc Genoa server line.   [caption id="attachment_57117" align="aligncenter" width="481"] AMD's[/caption] AMD compares the upcoming flagship with the 56-core Xeon W9-3495X, and the difference is impressive: 657 seconds versus 1125 seconds in rendering tasks.   Judging by recent leaks, the top model will be the Ryzen Threadripper Pro 7995WX with a frequency of up to 5.1 GHz and a TDP of 350 W. In total, at least four models are expected in the line.  There were also previously rumors that, in addition to the Threadripper Pro line, there would also be regular, more affordable Threadrippers, but this has not yet been confirmed.

But the RX 6000 is about as profitable Radeon RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT video cards hit the market tomorrow, but today test results for new products obtained by AMD itself have leaked online. At least that's what HD-Tecnoligia claims. [caption id="attachment_52306" align="aligncenter" width="780"] AMD graphics cards[/caption] According to these results, the Radeon RX 7800 XT is on average 6.9% faster than the RTX 4070 in games without ray tracing. With it, the AMD card is 11.6% slower. The RX 7700 XT, in turn, is in the same order of magnitude 15.9% faster and 5.4% slower than the RTX 4060 Ti 16GB. New AMD graphics cards are again more profitable than new GeForce products. [caption id="attachment_52307" align="aligncenter" width="705"] AMD graphics cards[/caption] [caption id="attachment_52308" align="aligncenter" width="780"] AMD graphics cards[/caption] Thus, at lower prices, AMD's new products offer, on average, greater performance. True, if we compare the results with the existing tests, it turns out that the RX 7800 XT is not particularly faster than the RX 6800 XT and the RX 7700 XT is approximately the level of the RX 6800. If we compare the new products with these predecessors at starting prices, the new products are noticeably more profitable, especially the higher card. However, the RX 6000 line has long been available at prices significantly lower than recommended, and right now it turns out that the new adapters provide approximately the same price-performance ratio as the old ones.

Released October 18 Gigabyte has confirmed that the Radeon RX 6750 GRE video card will soon appear on the market. Unverified rumors about her appeared on the Internet some time ago.  [caption id="attachment_66919" align="aligncenter" width="780"] new AMD video card[/caption] Another new AMD video card from the old line. Exact specifications are not yet known, but 12 GB of memory is reported, the same as the Radeon RX 6700 XT and RX 6750 XT. That is, we are talking about a 192-bit memory bus. However, the GPU configuration is unknown. If we remember that the RX 7900 GRE has significantly fewer stream processors than the RX 7900 XT, perhaps the same will happen with the new product. For example, it may not have 2560 stream processors, like the mentioned related models, but 2304, like the RX 6700.   In addition, since this is a GRE model, it will not be released at retail outside of China, but it may appear in pre-built PCs. The new product will go on sale on October 18.

At least for now It seems that Sapphire was the only company that decided to release the Radeon RX 7800 XT graphics card in the reference design. [caption id="attachment_51964" align="alignnone" width="780"] Radeon RX 7800 XT[/caption] Reference Radeon RX 7800 XT decided to release only Sapphire Other manufacturers have presented only non-reference models, and MSI has not yet announced AMD's new products at all. It is also worth recalling that there is no reference design for the Radeon RX 7700 XT at all. At the same time, Sapphire did not limit itself to only the reference design and introduced several Nitro models. The company has long been the main partner of AMD, so nothing is surprising in this. Recall that the new AMD video cards were released on September 6 for $450 and $500.
