i think it would be kinda cool if Scar uses his earthbending to move around

joel maybe a part of the royal family? he just kinda gives off those vibes

etho and gem have to be siblings i mean c'mon

any suggestions for the other hermits/lifers/emporers and their bending would be appreciated! - i've put more of the au in the comments if you'd like to see it!

Just out of curiosity, how come Etho is a non-bender? I would personally see him as a water bender (maybe even blood blender), just that he doesn’t outwardly use it often. That’s just my take on it, but I’m curious on your take. -👁

yeah i thought about that too, but i think ultimately i wanted him and gem to be kinda the sokka and korra of the group, and he is the redstone guy after all so it made more sense to make him a nonbender that was really good at inventing stuff and hands-on fighting. also i can see him throwing a boomerang- don't ask why lol. But then again, this is just my interpretation based on what i want to draw and what fits the story in my head at the time, so i might just go back in my word and make him a blood bender for the coolness lol

I feel like Tango being a firebender is almost too on the nose but I could honestly see him as one of those earthbenders that specialize in metalbending that just like, lives in one of the earth kingdom's conquered areas. that guy has simply too many motifs

ikk buuut I kinda just wanna draw him with fire lol- as u can see I go off what I want to draw but I love ur idea as well! I do love the idea of him metal bending as well but I want him to be a part of the resistance group in the fire nation because he feels like the type of guy that would easily see past the war good motto the royal family has
