The look of the new Yamaha YZF-R15 V4.0 is one of the main reasons to buy it. The updated YZF-R15 borrows design influences from the new YZF-R7, making it one of the best-looking motorcycles in India’s sub-200cc sector. The design has a full-fairing configuration at the front, an M-air duct, a single-pod headlamp, dual LED DRLs, a muscular fuel tank, a step-up seat, and a side-slung exhaust. To manage shock absorption, the rear continues to employ a preload-adjustable monoshock. A 282mm single disc at the front and a 220mm rotor at the rear handle the anchoring responsibilities, and the combination provides remarkable response.

The 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with Variable Valve Actuation remains on the motorbike. The motor produces 18.1bhp at 10,000rpm and 14.2Nm of peak torque at 7,500rpm when connected to a six-speed gearbox. The gearbox is still equipped with an assist and slipper clutch arrangement. Above 7,400rpm, the variable valve actuation system comes in to give powerful performance over the rev range. The motorbike is speedy in the lower RPM range, but the engine truly comes to life beyond 4,500rpm.

The Yamaha YZF-R15 has always been a great motorcycle to ride because of its incredible handling. The motorcycle feels agile and responsive thanks to the deltabox frame and the sporty tuning of the suspension setup. This does, however, comes at the cost of comfort. The assist and slip function delivers an incredibly light clutch feel.

The R15 V4 is a gorgeous looking machine. It has a new front end, and the bike now resembles the larger R7, for which it receives a thumbs up. The new fairing design is more than simply a visual improvement. With a decreased drag coefficient, the bike is now more aerodynamic and provides superior wind protection. The motorcycle is also intimidating in person! Especially if it’s next to the R15 V3. A new bi-function LED projector headlamp with new DRLs on either side, similar to the ones featured on the R7 and R6, is also housed in the new fairing. This new system does an excellent job of illuminating the road ahead of you 

The R15 V4 now gets USD forks. Something that was lacking on the V3, while being standard on overseas variations of the same. In principle, a USD configuration should perform better since it is more robust and less prone to bending under load, given that the outer tubes are solid. what the triple clap is mounted on. 

Another hole in the R15 V4’s armour is its braking system. The front brake appears to have good initial bite and feedback, but after a few kilometres, you lose a lot of braking capability due to brake fade, and the feel at the lever becomes mushy.

The new Yamaha R15V4 is a substantial upgrade over its predecessor, and the motorcycle is more appealing than ever before. The updated styling is instantly likeable while the feature list enhances the desirability factor even further. The sporty, 155cc engine adds to the ride experience, and the YZF-R15 V4.0 remains one of the most fun-to-ride motorcycles in its segment. All the updates, however, come at a premium price tag, which may affect the buying decision of several buyers in the Indian market.

The Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Edition model range will be offered in limited numbers.

Yamaha India launched the 2023 Monster Energy Yamaha Moto GP Edition Line-up. The models include- YZF-R15M, MT-15 V2.0, and Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid.

A limited number of these models are available at all the Blue Square outlets across India.

Yamaha has priced Monster Energy MotoGP Edition of YZF-R15M at ₹ 1,97,200, MT-15 V2.0 at ₹ 1,72,700 and Ray ZR 125 Fi at ₹ 92,330 (all prices ex-sh).

Monster Energy MotoGP Edition of R15, MT-15 and Ray ZR price Rs. 1,500 more than their least expensive variants which is MT-15 with Y-Connect & LED flasher and Ray ZR with disc brake option.

The Monster Energy MotoGP Edition model will be available at all the premium Blue Square outlets in Indian market from 3rd week of September.

R15 Monster Energy MotoGP Edition 2023

Same powertrains as before

With this Edition, Yamaha is keeping it stealthy. Wheels are black and only R15 gets a Racing Blue stripe. While other two miss out on this.

Both R15 and MT-15 come with a 155cc single-cylinder 4V liquid-cooled SOHC engine with VVA (variable valve actuation). Both motorcycles generate around 18 bhp of power and 14.2 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

While Ray ZR 125 Fi is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder SOHC 2V engine that generates around 8 bhp of power and 10.3 Nm of torque.

As of writing this article, Yamaha has not launched Monster Energy MotoGP Edition of Aerox 155 scooter. However, the company mentioned that Aerox 155 will get this treatment soon.

It labeled the official completion of the first stage of 5G, stepping into the new stage of 5G technology. 

The freeze of R15 and R16 paved the way for the following progress of the 5G technology. Combined with the new needs and stronger capabilities of 5G, R17 provides a new "information highway" without traffic jam for the 5G network deployment in all industries.

The increased focus on the third version of global 5G New Radio (NR) standard, R17, is rising as it expanding 5G performance, scalability, and business-model flexibility.

The industry still needs to continue to improve the standard, or make a simplified design scheme in combination with the actual needs to promote the implementations of 5G. The freeze of the R17 standard also means that 3GPP's standard-setting work for 5G-Advanced will be in full swing.

As the first standard version of 5G-Advanced, R18 is on the way. Through R17's efforts in commercial performance improvement, introduction of new features and exploration of new directions, 5G will be introduced in more application scenarios and have a closer connection with our daily life and work.
