My Horizon Forbidden West Headcanons
These are things I personally headcanon. You don't gotta agree with them, because some are pretty me-specific. But enjoy!
Hekkaro is attempting to adopt all the Tennakth he can. He is their dad. He is dad friend and he will make sure you prosper with long, happy lives.
Erend and Kotallo either have a bromance or a romance going on. It's one of those 100k enemies to friends to lovers things but they're getting there
Hekkaro adopted Aloy as well. She may not be Tennakth but that there is his psuedo-daughter
i ship so much at this point everyone is just kissing everyone (save for when it gets weird). I just want to see them all happy, and I don't care who they canonically end up with
Alva and Aloy are autistic but with different support needs and special interests
post-game GAIA gang helps raise Zo and Varl's kid. Everyone pitches in, from Uncle Kotallo teaching him strike, to Uncle Erend teaching him how to wield a hammer, to Aloy showing him how to use a bow, to Auntie Alva teaching him with the Apollo database. Everyone works hard to help Zo
Aloy hates being called Auntie
Aloy teaches Kotallo how to tame a Sunwing and the first thing he does is air-drop himself into the Grove (Aloy gave him a glider, he'll be fine)
Kotallo gestured a lot with his hands, which we can see evidence through his gesturing with his remaining hand. Unfortunately, everyone is used to single-handed Kotallo that Erend gets smacked in the face the day he goes out on a hunt with him and Kotallo is explaining the plan
Zo laughs. Kotallo is very apologetic. The next week there is a Keg of Erend's favourite ale in his "room"
Tild survives the final battle and they force her to stay on Earth (some how). She lives at the base and slowly her and Sylens form an unlikely friendship
The APOLLO database is shared with anyone who wants access to it.
The Oseram find out about Heavy Metal and Rock music and play it full volume (some even build instruments)
Alva listens to death metal and kpop
Sylens unironically listens to the all country music he can possibly find. From Johnny Cash to Dolly Parton
Tilda hates country music and is convinced Sylens only listens to it to annoy her
post-game GAIA gang meets up at the base every few weeks to see if they can beat Kotallo at strike, catch up with what everyone else is doing, and discuss their next step
if they can't meet up physically they have a conference call using their focuses
they do their best to make sure the leaders of different tribes have Focuses so everyone can communicate with each other. It helps inter-tribal relations, as they can safely meet to discuss treaties without worrying about assassination attempts.

So I got this random idea (and perhaps a new headcanon). I watched Klaus again before I left my old place and I once again found it interesting that Jesper reads his dad's letter so fast.
Yes I get the animators might have wanted to save on film time, but our boy reads that thing in a matter of seconds. Which had me think of Spencer from Criminal Minds, and how fast that character can go through a book.
So, it made me think: What if Jesper at first actually tried to put effort into his schooling, but he was simply too smart for it? He read the books and had those things memorized in a matter of days, but of course the teacher might have failed him on principle, because back in the 1800's they probably didn't really acknowledge that sort of intelligence often.
(Heck some teachers even now will fail people who are super smart because 'who could be smarter than the teacher?') So Jesper gets flunked out when he's actually trying, and eventually he gives up on trying, because what's the point? He will get a bad grade anyway.
So due to boredom and generally not caring anymore he starts to flunk on purpose, because at least at home he gets attention, and at least at home he can read whatever books he pleases. And of course he can enjoy the silk sheets and fine foods.
Then he's sent to Smeerensburg and maybe he was already a bit miserable before he got there (his general attitude can speak to this). And he gets more crestfallen when it looks like he will lose the comforts he had enjoyed.
But suddenly he meets Klaus, and finally he starts doing something that's successful and finally his efforts matter. So he starts feeling happy, and he may never show his true level of intelligence, but maybe there's moments when all his previous lessons come in handy and he proves to be a decent well of information. (Alva may or may not take advantage of this when she doesn't have enough books to go around etc.)
That's just my thought on it of course. Others are free to speculate in their own ways about it.

The Four Amigos middle name Headcanon
Elena Victoria Castillo-Flores: Named after her great-grand father King Victor III (plus the the to King Victors). Victoria was the name of a Queen of England Queen Victoria who was the second longest reigning monarch of England. Victoria means “Victory”  and it is the name of the Roman goddess of victory (the Roman form of Nike).Victory does fit Elena very well and thats why it’s her middle name. (Also I know there is Victor in the show, but people can have similar or the same  middle names to someone’s first name.)
Naomi Anne Turner: Named after her grandmother Anne Turner. Anne comes from Anna a form of the Hebrew name Channah (Hannah) meaning favor, grace. Naomi and Princess/queen Anna from Frozen are similar when to comes to running after danger and saving their kingdoms. Like Annie from Annie Naomi has a rags to riches story. (There is lot of people with names with name Channah roots)
Mateo Arturo De Alva: Arturo was the name of one of his grandfather’s coworkers who helped save magical objects and help start the resistance. Arturo is the Spanish form of Arthur. Arthur has an unknown meaning but has Celic elements artos "bear" combined with viros "man" or rigos "king" or it could be related to Artorius an obvious Roman family. Arthur has some background with magic like King Arthur (I believe so I haven’t read King Arthur. Tell me if I’m right?) and Arthur Weasley from Harry Potter
Gabriel Roberto Nunez: Roberto, after his father. Roberto is the Spanish form of Robert which means bright, fame. Fame and bright does make sense for Gabe who wanted (and achieved) being a great royal guard.
I got the meanings of the names from behindthename.com
