I answered a bit of it here but for you I knew I wanted to discuss it with you!!

So I picked that lovely tin can above as our Eros because his identity is already hidden! In the Star Wars canon his sect of mandalorians can’t remove their helmets to show their faces so it just screams Eros and his hidden identity 🤍

Plus Din is protective and a bit shy and almost repressed so it felt even sweeter to have him as the god of passion & love!

But the real challenge I’ve placed on myself (because as creators aren’t we all evil to ourselves lol) is to stay as close to the core mythology’s story as I can!

Of course I’m still twisting it a bit to make it my own version of the tale but I want this story to feel like it’s still very much Eros & Psyche and I hope I do it well for you 🥺

My dearest deputy I saw this asks this morning and I SQUEALED!! I adore you so much you don’t even KNOW 😭

The way I wanna talk about this wip is ridiculous & this is just gonna be me rambling and I APOLOGIZE!!!

So I’m gonna sound super literature major nerdy right now because this all started when I tried to clean up my room and found a lot of my old American Lit notes from class and that’s what honestly inspired this LMAO

I’ve always wanted to try my hand at writing Ezra (in my mind he’s one of the tricker Pedro boys to pin down) & coming across all my old lit notes, especially for my essays on my man Nathaniel Hawthorne (he wrote the scarlet letter!) I could only think of how perfect he’d be in that type of setting!

Plus it being lent and my rusty c*tholic mind going “make it spooky and religious that’s what the classic American lit writers would want” so here we are LMAO!!

Demon Ezra specifically is born from the way old am lit writers portrayed evil! Evil wasn’t just the terrifying darkness of a dark ghost but the thought of it being brought on by the man you think is your neighbor

Evil reflects the darkness not just in mankind’s heart but becomes kind of like a mirror to your own, because if this guy happens to be a demon then who’s to say you can’t be one as well 🖤🥀✨
