Perseus and Andromeda
In a lot of classical artwork, I always see Andromeda depicted as white/greek, and since she's the Princess of Aethiopia, I wanted to try and make a more authentic, historically accurate depiction. I hope you enjoy!
In other words: She's everything, he's just Perseus.
(Nah jk, Perseus is a really solid dude overall, I just had to make the reference)

A PENDE FACEMASK, GIWOYO
Democratic Republic of Congo, of typical form. The woven raphia headdress, with embroidered design, attached to the brow of the facemask; fiber beard attached to perimeter of attenuated chin.
Masks such as this were used in the theatrical performance that accompanies Pende Mukanda initiation. This includes some sixty characters in a variety of masks and costumes, some of which are believed to have magical and curative powers. Giwoyo is distinguished by its elongated wooden beard and emerges at dusk directing his face toward the setting sun. This fine example with heavily lidded eyes and fine pigmentation is classical of the type.
